  1. It's basically deemed poor on this board because Ipswich are doing well and Norwich not so well ( sorry but that's the truth ). The reality is that Leeds, Leicester and Southampton are stronger than the three that went up and Ipswich & Plymouth ( maybe not Sheff Weds ) are better than the teams that went down. It is a stronger league than last season without a doubt.
  2. Whatever keeps you going buh. You see the thing is I don't even really care that much if we go up this season or not, I'm just happy seeing good football and having a well run ambitious club again. So even if your prediction comes true its going to mean far more to you than me. I hope all your dreams come true, it seems they are all centred around us failing rather than you achieving. Its all a little bit sad tbh.
  3. If being mentally weak results in being 21 points ahead of you and 10 points clear of Leeds then I guess we can live with that. Have a good day.
  4. Then you should also remember the 3-2 defeat at our place. How embarrassing to lose to such a small club.
  5. As I have said before, I expect us to finish in the play-offs and for a newly promoted team will be more than happy with that. I thought it was us that went on about the past? Honestly couldn't care less The 2015 play-offs, they are long gone. In the here and now we are in a far better place than you, that was evident on the pitch at the weekend even though you scraped a draw. The tables are turning and I think you know it. You had better hope we don't go up because I doubt we will make a complete hash of it like you did. How does it feel knowing that you have sold all your home grown talent for millions and now find yourselves skint and with a squad of plodders like Duffy and overseas mis-fits that nobody else wants?
  6. Yet despite all that, still better than anything you have currently, let that sink in.
  7. You don't watch small club teams yet spend time on their forums asking questions about their main rivals - weird.
  8. Hounded out - Lol. Maybe watch a game or two if you want to know what the style of play is. I'll give you a clue, its not parking the bus like your lot did at Anfield yesterday,
  9. Not really no. We should have won but missed chances and gave away poor goals, it happens. Still got a point and now on to the next one. You guys can revel in your glorious draw for a few more months if you like, we will just focus on the next game and picking up more points. A few months back you were all tipping our team of average league one players for relegation. not quite worked out as you hoped has it? 21 Points gap, 9 defats already for you, smashed 6-2 at Plymouth. Mentally weak.
  10. Totally deluded. I don't know if you noticed but you aren't in the Prem anymore and are now a mid table Championship team. Williams is miles better than Stacey and walks into your team as do all the others I listed. I don't know if you also noticed but we are now far better managed and financed than you and there is no way any of our players would leave an upwardly mobile club to join your stagnating shambles of a set up. I suspect we may take Rowe off you in the summer if he is deemed good enough. Time to face reality.
  11. Sure, and Duffy and Batth are much better players of course.
  12. You keep telling yourself that, 2 defeats in 22 this season and about 13 wins on the bounce at the end of last season suggest otherwise.
  13. The you are deluded. Davis, Chaplin, Hirst, Clarke, Williams, Wolfenden, Burgess, Tuanzebe, Broadhead, Morsy, Luongo, Hutchinson all walk into your side...fact.
  14. I do actually agree with you, I thought the whole coach greet thing was a bit tinpot to be honest. I mean there is a real feel good factor around our club, and thats great, but this was just a bit too much for me. I knew we wouldn't just roll you over an predicted 2-2 on this very forum. I also predicted we would beat you in April at your place and I stand by that prediction.
  15. There is some truth in what you say. Most of our side would struggle in the premier league, i'm under no illusions about that, the gulf in quality is huge. Most players have some limitations, particulalry at this level but Morsy is very good at what he does and underated by many opposition fans in my view. I'm not sure you do have better players than us though to be honest, how many of your team would get in ours realistically? I wouldn't swap any of our back four for yours. I'd take Sara, Rowe, and probably Sargent when fully fit, i'm genuinely struggling to think of any others.
  16. Sure you have pal, I can tell by your intelligent analysis that you have clearly worked at a high level. "The guy Slaphead with the dodgy fringe" "Binny McKenna", and "lardy" Morsy ( the guy who you couldn't get the ball off who made your midfield look like non league plodders ) I mean this is top level stuff. And you worked at ITFC as well, really? And heres me thinking you were a die hard yellow....
  17. Are you sure you are a football fan? only you seem to be a little bit lacking in....er basic football knowledge.
  18. Please show me the post where a) I lost the plot or b) started banging on about a cup final?
  19. Not at all, I am talking very much about the here and now and the future. I fully acknowledge that you have been better than us for some considerable amount of time, but the tables are turning now.....
  20. "When they lose both (Morsy is 30 odd and McKenna will go to Man. U.sooner rather than later, imo.) they will once again sink like a stone and return to their appropriate status of being the small-town club of no particular note that they have been since they lost Bobby Robson" Wishful thinking on your part i'm afraid. We are now a very well run ( and funded ) club with a proper infastructure, this is not Marcus Evans Ipswich Town anymore. When Mckenna does leave ( and he will at some point ) we will already have identified a quality progressive replacement and I am confident there will be no more Lambert / Cook type appointments. As for Morsy, well he has been a very good player for us but he is hardly irreplaceable. To be honest, if we do make the Premier League next season he would need to upgraded anyway. In fact you had better keep everything crossed that we dont go up this year as i suspect that would also mean that McKenna won't be going anywhere in a hurry. Enjoy the game, I suspect you may get something today but that will not stop the upward trajectory we are now on.
  21. Hate to disappoint but I don't think Williams will be starting, didn't look right against watford and came off at half time with what was later revealed to be a knee injury. You are right though that he would be a red card witing to happen in this fixture. I am fairly certain Morsy will keep his cool but he does like a tackle so a yellow or even a red is not completely out of the question,
  22. An exiting and eventful 2-2 draw, you guys keep your unbeaten record against us going for a bit longer. We will kick your butts big time at Carrow road in April to finally end the run though 🙂
  23. I;d like to think the last thing I am is cocky and I think my posts on this forum back that up. I am very realistic and much of what you say is correct, things can change very quickly in football. For me it's just about enjoying seeing my team consistently win football matches while playing a great brand of football which is something we haven't seen for a very long time. I take each game as it comes and know full well that most games have been close and we could lose at any time including on Saturday, I take nothing for granted in that game and to be honest I am actually fairly relaxed about it because its an outcome I have no control over. If the football gods are truly smiling on us we will give you a long overdue hiding but if it doesn't happen on the day then so be it, its just a game of football and life goes on. I appreciate that Town have come out on the right side of fine margins many times this season but what I do find funny is some of your fans suggesting that we have been lucky or not played anybody yet. You dont break records with the number of points you have at this stage of the season because you have been lucky, thats just eing hugely disrespectful to the skill and efforts of the Manager, his coaches and the players themselves. The Watford fans were at it last night as well, apparently we are still an average league one team and the worst team to grace Vicarage road this season ( lol ) and that includes the beatings of QPR ( 4-0 ) and Rotherham ( 5-0 ). I remember saying many times on TWTD during the Farke years what a really good side Norwich had and how envious I was of the way you played football, I got the usual 'budgie' taunts etc. but sometimes you just have to be honest and admit that you are looking at a good football team, even if they are your hated rivals.
  24. Yep, thats 19 lucky games out of 21 for us now Jim, its an incredible run of good fortune the like of which has never been seen before. I wonder if we can be the first team ever to be promoted through just sheer good fortune.
  25. If's buts and maybe's, had we lost to Sunderland etc....but we didn't. The team has shown consistency for a long time under McKenna now and also a resilience to bounce back from defeats. That being said, I am surprised at just how well we have done and I do expect us to run into a sticky patch at some point as every team does. I also still believe we will probably fall out of the top two eventually ( making you guys very happy i'm sure ) and despite the current position I will be more than happy with play offs for a first season back at this level.
