1. On behalf of true Canary fans, I wish Jim Duffy all the best tomorrow.  Lets get 3 points and get climbing that table!
2. My god, I was going to reply, but I really can''t be bothered...............
3.

Being a Bristol resident where nearly all my mates down here are "S*** Heads" (work that one out lol) there is no way I want to return back here after the weekend having lost this game. Especially as it will leave me out of pocket with bets taken under the influence to the tune of £20. Aside from that there is no such thing as a supporter who wishes a loss on their team, especially when their team is where our is, just above the relegation zone! No supporter at all (I say that knowing full well Wiz my be playing games with us again btw) Get behind your team and sing your hearts out. If you don''t you are a bigger disgrace to NCFC than any board, manager or player could ever be and that includes Andy Marshal! :op
Are you sure? Last time I looked we were in the relegation zone. The only people that are a disgrace to the name of Norwich are people like you (who are prepared to sit back and let a cheap cook/crook destroy our club). You know absolutely nothing...  C''mon Bristol City don''t let the wicked witch off the hook!!!
Yes we are in the relegation zone, so what would be the best thing to happen.  Norwich lose again and again, in the vein hope that a multi billionaire will take pity on our plight and come in, buy Delia out, get Jose Mourinho in as manger and buy top class premier league standard players?  No.  I believe the best thing that can happen is that we attempt to start playing football again and start winning games and climbing the league. People need to start getting real.  On one hand, yes it could result in wholesale changes at the club, and get a new, rich, ambitious owner to take over blah blah blah (dream on) on the other, it could be the end of the club. Why have so many people (well the usual suspects anyway) got a personal vendetta against Delia.  Wicked witch, Cheap Cook/Crook etc.  I think it''s a bit childish.  Does she smell as well, per chance?
4. By the way, your signature is pathetic.  What way is that to refer to people who put millions of their own money into our club?  Have some respect.
5.

What if City start playing out of their skins for Duffy, and win the next 2 or 3 games?  Would we still want rid of him then, even though he would be achieving what we all want anyway i.e wins?
It won''t happen...............simply as that really!.
Based on what exactly?  I haven''t a clue what Duffy is like as a manager.  Like I didn''t have a clue what Mike Walker was like when he took over, or even Nigel Worthington for that matter.  None of us actually know what or who a good manager is, as we have never played proffesional football for a manager.  Lets be honest, the whole of the UK says Martin O''Neill is "a good manager", but he hasn''t set the world alight yet at Villa.  Does that make him a bad manager all of a sudden?  The important people are the players and how they perform on the pitch, and how that set of players personalities interact with that of the manager. If all these planets align, you have a successful team.

7. Absolutely agree 100% with your post.  My interest has been waining big time.  I joined a fantasy football league, and found myself looking down the list of players, not really knowing that many players anymore.  I no longer "have" to watch Match Of The Day.  I just find it a bit boring now.   Roy Keane was spot on when he said that football had "sold it''s soul".  There is so much I miss about football from a few years ago (by the way I''m 32 - not 72).  I miss players like Ian Crook, Robert Fleck, Gunny, Ruel Fox, Darren Eadie, Jon Newsome, Iwan, Disco Dale, Malky etc - the list goes on and on.  Players who gave 100%, played with a smile on their face.  They had personality and character.  If they scored a goal they would run to the fans to celebrate it.  If you saw them in the street, they would stop and say hello.  Players you actually liked, and looked up to and most of all, respected.  They represented the fans on the pitch, much like the Rugby players appear to do now (although I don''t really like Rugby - dont understand the rules!!) and would do anything to get the result you wanted.  You would never in a million years get a "QPR away" performance. I find myself now, sitting in the once Booming Barclay Stand, to find it more like a morgue, with the occasional shout of "Sit down please" from a steward breaking the near silence.  You summed it up with "overpaid prima donnas".  Not one current player would get in the front door, let alone make it onto the wall of my NCFC "hall of fame".  I too will not stop following football, especially NCFC.  But like you, it also doesnt interest me nearly as much as it once did.
8. Lets re-unite the Walker/Deehan double act (failing that Dion)!!!
9. Right, thats the fairy off the top of the xmas tree (formation!!!!) gone, next up Duffy. He can clear off now as well.  If we want a temporary manager in lets get Dion to do it.  The priority thing at the minute is to get some spirit, excitment, enthusiasm and passion back into those 11 corpses from last night.  Who better a man to do this than Dion.  I dont mean full time (before I''m slaughtered), just until a full time replacement is found. He leads by example, he''s a model pro and above all he cares (and I bet he knows how to treat people, unlike Grant).   Duffy out - Dion in (for a bit) !!!
10. The way I see the current sit"eee"ation at carr rud.  When Grant took over, he was an unknown quanitity, and thus we pulled off a great result away at Birmingham.  From then on it has gone steadily downhill, as his style of management has become more visible.  Grants first big mistake was slating the fans.  The fans were not 100% sure of the appointment, and this did not endear him to them.  He then proceeded publicly slate Darren Huckerby and Saffri.  This would have lost him a lot of friends in the dressing room, and the following results hardly set the world on fire.  Fast forward to this season.  Earnshaw left, Saffri left and Etuhu left.  However, Grant brings his replacements in, and an "acceptable" draw away at Preston kicks things off.    The new lads are out to prove to the manager what they''re all about, and the 5-2 thrashing of Barnet follows, with two great strikes from Jamie C.  Jamie continues this into the Southampton game, grabbing another two great goals.  This is where it started to go wrong.  Grant comes out in the press and slates Jamie for being too greedy.  Jamie is a popular player in the squad, and this would have upset him and the rest of the squad, and again turned the squad against him.  Then Grant does the same with Huckerby, states that Russell hasn''t played enough games (and leaves him out).  I think by this point the squad had had enough of this treatment.  All confidence had gone.  Jamie hasn''t scored a goal since, and Huckerby hasn''t played well.  This has spread throughout the squad, and manifested itself in last nights game at QPR.  Surely the lowest point for any Canary fan of all time.  I believe Grants quest for absolute power over the squad has completely backfired on him.  He has humiliated the players into having zero confidence on the pitch.  They look like 11 manic depessives taking to the field, rather than 11 pumped up athletes going all out for their gaffer.  The cracks were all too apparent when Hucks came out in the press, stating "this is the worst side I''e played in".  I believe that this was revenge on Grant for slamming he and JC in the press.  It is apparent that as a "Rookie" manger, Grant is way, way way out of his depth.  Some players need an arm round the shoulder, some need their confidence lifting whilst some just need a good old kick up the jacksie.  I dont beieve Grant has the man management skills to do this, and therefore has alienated the current players, and has lead to resentment from the squad.  This is why Grant must go, and go now.  (sorry about the long post!)
11. If we lose and continue to lose then I will want Grant out.  However, if we win and go on a run then I will want Grant to stay.  All I want is for Norwich to win games.  I couldnt give a stuff about who is manager (or who is in the team for that matter).  Its all about doing well at the end of the day.
12. The worst thing about this is that the NCFC players couldn''t pick somewhere better than the chavtastic celebrity wannabe hang out Mercy.  At least they may have had the opportunity to rub shoulders with other such like big name stars, like an extra from Casualty, or some bloke who''s been in The Bill.
13. And what do you do with a player who hasn''t played enough games to be 100%?  Well, apparently you drop him therefore depriving him of another game to get closer to 100%. Obvious really!!  He''s like Arsene Wenger that Grant fella!!   Grant out!
14.
For f***s sake, drop the Dion thing, now! We need someone who''s going to grab the club by the balls and take us forward, someone who actually has a smidge of managerial experience. Someone with a bit of tactical know-how! So tell me - what does Dion have over Grant in terms of tactical nous? No, thought not.
1)   IMO the current squad respect Dion far more than Grant.  You only have to watch his on field "team talks" to see this. 2)   How do we know Dions "tactical nous"?  He may be a genius.  We know Grants tactical nous only too well.  He has none. 3)   If you note, my earlier post stated Dion for "caretaker" manager,  to manage in the interim until a full time manager is found. 4)    The big problem at the moment, aside from the overall lack of tactics, is that the team obviously don''t want to play for Grant (see Sheff Wed goal yesterday) and the team spirit is currently zero.  Can you think of a personality other than Dion to at least restore this small thing.
15. Grant''s time is clearly up. I have, like many others, given him the benefit of the doubt (despite his slagging off of supporters last season).  The man has no clue how to organise a football team.  i mean, where the hell was Huckerby (trying to) play today.  We created nothing.  Jamie must wish he''d stayed at Colchester. I had as much chance to score today as our front two (three, four, one...whatever) despite the fact I was sitting in the Barclay.  This is the lowest point in all my 20 odd years of supporting City, and I can''t allow the likes of Doncaster and Grant to drag the name of our great club through the dirt.  HE MUST GO NOW.  I think in the interim Dion should take over temporary charge.  The players will play for him I feel.  The "board" must act now, before we become (more of) a laughing stock.
16. The footballs crap, but hey, it''s been that way for a few years now, but now with the smoking ban in the stadium (even at half bloody time), the continual "sit down" chant from the stewards in block D of the lower barclay (whilst blocking my bloody view)  and the serious lack of atmosphere in the ground, I am getting VERY BORED at home games and can''t really be arsed with away games anymore. Too expensive.  All the fun of going to the football has pretty much gone for me.  How I miss the OLD BARCLAY - fags, winning games, exciting football, fags, incredible atmosphere, £4.50 admission etc etc etc.  Maybe I''m getting too grumpy, but I bet there are plenty of others who think the same!
17. If we had Drogba up front he wouldn''t score goals.  We dont create enough chances, simple as that. Jamie is a quality striker, he proved that last season, particularly against us.  Yes, Jamie has a couple of chances on Saturday, but if he''s getting nothing for the majority of the 90 mins, he''s going to be slightly rusty when trying to take the chance.  Show me a striker who scores with every shot he has.  He doesnt see enough of the ball to "get his eye in".  The fact we have a couple of jokers playing down the right (Croft and Chadwick) doesn''t help.  We simply do not put crosses in the box, and we have no midfielders capable of  threading the ball through a defence. We badly need some pace down the right, yet we allow Bally Smart to go off on loan.  Whoever can see fit to slag off Jamie clearly as only seen him play for NCFC this season and thats it.  GIVE THE LAD THE BALL!!!
18. It''s amazing how "hard" you can be whilst standing behind a fence with a line of coppers and stewards protecting you .
19. I think he''s on the transfer list, was the best centre back by a mile whilst at  Norwich.  Not sure what he''s like now, but must be worth a go if the price is right.
20. Ideally it would be the start of "Twisted Belief" by Mindkiller (my band).  All Norwich fans (especially me - season ticket holder since 4 years old), and would be a dream come true.  Wont happen though!!  Check the song out on www.myspace.com/mindkilleruk.  Keep it looocalllll!!
21. Hang on a wee minute, JC is ALREADY a City legend.  I just hope all the people moaning about the return of JC are eating their words right about now.  In his 1st spell here, you could see he was one of the best finishers the club had ever had, and now we have the complete older and wiser version.  JC OWNS the likes of Earnshaw (god I dislike that man), and is absolutely loved by the carrrood faithful.  His reaction to scoring is priceless - you can REALLY see what it means to him.  So any JC doubters, please now shut up.  The messiah is back.
22. Is it me, or is there a bit of a feel good factor coming back to Carrow Road?  Maybe I''ll be accused of believing the "spin" coming out of CR, but I''m really enjoying reading some of "our" Jamie''s comments about how the players are all getting on.  Particularily him taking Dave Striker out to see Tarnsformers!  It seems that PG has put some work into improving morale.  Bringing back Jamie and Rusty has ben a masterstroke.  2 talented players who obviously hold the club in great affection, and this will spread throughout the team.  Add Brellier and Dave Striker, and it would appear that we actually have a few "characters" appearing next season, a few fans favourites.  Rather than the whiny Safri, Rocco''s number 1 client Etuhu, that goal hanging "hired hand" Earnshaw, and other such reminders of the Worthy years.  Hucks may feel a bit jealous next season, when he see''s the fans response to these players.  I am now looking forward to this season, something I haven''t said for maybe 3 seasons.  Well done Granty, good job!!
23. I think that before we all get too carried away about the probable departure from the club of Saffri and Etuhu, we should wait and see and see what the likes of Brellier have to offer in the side. Yes, it is now vital that we sign another couple of central midfielders, but there is still time, and we should have a bit of cash.  Lets not forget that people wanted rid of Saffri last season after his "too tired to play" nonsense.  He also will miss a chunk of next season with the African Nations doo dar, and too be honest I dont class him as a particularily consistent player. As for Etuhu, yes when he can be arsed to play, he''s good.  However, for a big man I think he''s knocked off the ball way too easily, his passing is average and he doesn''t get enough goals for a box to box man. I think he will be more missed by the staff in Rocco''s (normally 10 mins after full time) And the bloke who sits behind me cant pronounce his name  "Tootoo, you''re a torsserr" .  At least I may not have too hear that anymore.  I just have to wait for his first attempt at Strihavka. Anyway, lets be patient and see what happens.  I personally am finding it quite exciting, new players and stuff.
24. How dare you - Neil Doncaster???  The bloke is a t**t of the highest order. With his "bog brush" hair etc.  Just becasue I, dare say that signing a striker who has NCFC''s interests at heart, as well as being a bloody good player, instead of big bucks and a quick return to the Premiersh*t  idiot is a good thing, I''m written off as the biggest cock currently employed by our beloved club.   Listen pal, I''ve supported this club since the age of 4 (28 years and counting) and certain things in this time have occured to me.  Players who are proud to play for the club are better players than those who just want to use us as a stepping stone.  Get back on Canary Call!!
