1.
1.5m upfront and 1m as add ons is a generous bid for a player in the third tier of english football! If McNally doesn''t think he is worth more than that, then that is good enough for me and we will move on! If a deal could be done then I would be happy to see CMS here but as many others have stated we cant be held to ransom. I trust McNally and his track record so far goes to prove we all should!!! OTBC
I guess Buying Holt from the  4rd tier  hasnt worked either! jesus! I guess you havent seen this boy, his work rate is superb, 27 goals and assist most other goals.....guess that isnt worth the risk.. muppet!
 2.

just saying. I''d have liked a decent striker to come in, but remember its the current squad that have put us in with a chance for back to back promotions. Im reading some crazy things on here about how one player could be enough to secure us promotion... yet Id say we''ve already got 11 who seem to be having a pretty good crack at it. Feel free to flame away! [:D]
i would completely be happy with playing 5 in mid, if Holt gets injured we can not rely on the jackson and willibram 30 od starts and 1 goal aint good enough! Fact!
So in that situation you feel somebody like CMS would have done ? If you are stating the players Lambert has signed are not good enough you are indirectly slating Lambert. It has passed a lot of people by that the old guard have gone now and this is Lamberts team. From the old guard he only felt Holt Hoolahan Lappin and Martin were good enough to retain a first team place. The current team Ruddy R. Martin Ward Whitbread Tierney Lansbury Fox Crofts Surman Jackson Hoolahan and Holt ( the 12 main players ) ( and dont forget he was trying to sign Holt before we did ) are 10 of his signings.  Should we not go up what we have acheived is amazing, however lots of you alreaady seem to be loading your guns pointing at the reason for not getting promoted was that we did not have good enough strikers. Do that IMO at your own peril because I reckon if people start moaning if we dont go up Lambert will walk. This team deserve our support 100% whoever they are as it is them who have acheived the near impossible.
You are completely missing the point as usual, no is not supporting the team.. we pay our money to go home and away! We could only dream of being in this position at the start of the season! we are here so we need to push....Facts stand Jackson and Wilbraham have only scored 1 in 30 od games, they arent good enough and although i wouldnt want to dampen there spirits they could not step in for Holt....its an important time and no time to trail players that arent good enough.....we have to push for the prem and remember we are here on merit and we are good enough...so lets do it!
 3.
Can I just point out we''re the 5th highest scoring team at home, and the joint 3rd highest scoring team away from home? Thanks.
no one is debating  this, our midfield is class.. ill point out 30 od starts 1 goal.....wilbraham and jackson! Thanks!
 4.
One decent striker could be the difference between 3 points and all those home draws against the poorer clubs , its a bit much to keep expecting the midfielders to pull us out of the brown stuff match after match . Its all about giving yourselves the best chance possible , that''s why Swansea got a striker in today . Last 9 games coming up how many goals do we think Jackson and Wilbraham will chip in with ? i will go for 2 and i wouldnt be too optimistic of that .
this is exactly my point! we have got ourselves into a position we could have only dreamed about at the start! its time to realise it and push for the prem!

 6.
I reckon he''s over-rated and would be an expensive flop... one we can''t afford should we fail to gain promotion.I am still convinced that another year at least in Division Two lies ahead for NCFC.
typical idiot response!!!
 7.

In all honesty, I''ll be dissappointed if we don''t end up getting CMS (situation doesn''t look quite over to me) - But, by the same token, i wouldn''t have him here in a manner that was done just to please the fans, i think we''ve got excellent staff at this club now from top to bottom, and trust that if they decide the situations a no goer, well, that''ll be more than good enough for me and long may it continue.
cause jackson running around like a headless chicken and wilbrahams likeness to a static wheelie bin is what we need!
Mackail-Smith might not make it at this level ;). But, as stated, i would like to see him here, but not at the expense of us being put over a barrel...
being put over a barrel doesnt matter at this stage! we need him, like villa needed bent and like liverpool need carol! we go up with goals from him it wont matter.............at the moment jackson and wilbraham have scored 1 in 30 od games between them!

 9. IF YOU BOTHERED TO PHONE UP YOU WOULD KNOW THERE IS TICKETS LEFT, I BROUGHT 5 TODAY AND THE HAD A BIG WADGE LEFT!
 10.
Well as McNally said today that talks have broken down. Im really happy that we are not buying him for the £3m that peterborough wanted. For £3m we could get Billy Sharp from Doncaster, who has scored 14 goals in 26 games this season playing for a team who have had a poor season. I know that the £3m would include add ons so maybe £1m upfront with an extra £2m as add ons but Billy sharp has scored 14 in 26 this year, and last year scored 15 in 33 which are both very good striker rates. Sharp is also younger than CMS [y]! We could give Donny jackson as well as cash for Sharp and that could be what we need to keep 2nd.
what are you talking about! cms has scored 27 goals this season, his last 3 games 5 assists, if we paid  5 million for him it wouldnt matter if we went up! the fact is Jackson and Wibraham arent good enough and Holt is in need of support! Im all for playing 5 midfielders but we are too close and its ours to lose! So i hope Norwich do the right thing and spend to get him!!!!

Tell you know about it before last nights programme! just let Norwich do Norwichs buisness! School boy errror!
Have I missed something ? Is Dion Dublin a salaried employee of NCFC ? If he is then, yes, he should keep his mouth shut. If he isn''t then he can say what he wants, can''t he ?
No tulip... but he is a representing Norwich as a ex player on that programme!
And your point is what exactly ? And don''t call me tulip, I prefer the non specific "flower". Thank you.
As a Norwich fan the club comes first! It was stupid, as he is descovering today!

 14. That our goal differance is on par with the others around us, i know our strikers should be banging in goals but im a beliver if you score it doesnt matter where the goals come from!
 15.
I think for 3 million we could tempt Long to Carrow road. Mackail-smith being good, Long has better pedigree at this level and he''s 24 where Smith is 27. I think 3 million is a lot for a very good league one player, look at Charlie Austin he was meant to be league ones next big thing. And I believe Long is out of contract soon.
Look at Grant holt!
 16.
But I have a feeling that it was Fry that told Dion in the first place, seems it was a long conversation  between the two as he says, they have two players lined up to replace him, this could have been a Fry ply can''t see it being anything else Dion wouldn''t have said anything if he wasn''t sure.
think this is the point, the deal was probarly done.... know we have to go through the process of re bidding and paying more for looks like a good play! Dion should have kept quite for a bit, now he looks like a tool!
 17. exactly this is my point, he has inside knowledge as an ex player! just think could have kept his mouth shut for  bit then we may not have to pay over the odds, for what looks like a good player!
 18.
well he didn''t say for deffo we were signing him, he said there was a strong chance. prob bidding for him but never to be accepted
to annouce it on telly only creates a problem! anyway lets hope Barry Fry does the right thing!
 19. Surly it isnt good practice to announce Norwich City are  in a bid for a player, it seems this lad was on his way, but guess what its all stalled as its got out! Dion is on the football league show as an abassador of Norwich, anyway wasnt over happy about him annoucing it! Will be watching this space now, he looks like a good signing!
 20.
I was discussing this with a scummer mate recently, if you were to make a starting XI out of current Norwich and Ipswich players, who would you pick?I would pick;                    RuddyR Martin Barnett Whitbread Drury                  Leadbitter               Crofts Bullard                   Hoolahan               Holt WickhamNow you could argue that im being biased towards our glorious yellow and green, having picked 8 Norwich players, and 3 blue filth. But seriously, i dont think id have any others from their team?! (Which quite angered my scummy mate) Apart from possibly McAuley for Whitbread.Am i being biased, or does this just show the difference in quality between the two sides atm?
ARE YOU A BIT MENTAL?
 21.
It''s not gonna be blue and white, Phyx [;)] Certainly generating one hell of an anticipation this year!
Norwichs original colours were Blue and white i think....... akthough im iching to get a look, just hope we have a good maker so the kit is made properly unlike the ones we have had recently were the front peels off and she fades!
 22.
As someone who attended the football kits meeting at the club, all this talk of Errea kits at least makes me happy that nobody present leaked any information! I will not say anything that was discussed in detail as requested by David McNally on the night but I can say that the discussion was wide ranging and an seriously incredible amount of information was given by the club and they in turn were prepared to listen to the fans present and amend as necessary. I would urge all fans to try to attend these meetings which will now take over from the suporters consultative committee as and when needed, but they will only work and continue if those present do not disclose in depth info - in the meantime I will continue to smile at the previous posts on this thread!  :)
It has to be it makes me smile , if its not going to Errea.... if Norwich go down this road i think they are selling there fans short! Errea are a joke of a company you just have to look at what they have produced in this country.....and to think we moaned at Xara which is poor, these lot take the biscuit.I know no names were mentioned at the kit meeting, but i hope they let slip it wasnt Errea!
