  3. Nick sadly passed away this morning For those of you who didn''t know him Nick organised the Easton''s Coach to every Norwich away game for his beloved Canaries and will be sorely missed by his Jailbirds. RIP
  4. Some of you may already know Nick who organises the Eastons Coach to the Norwich away games. Out of respect to his family I am not posting details other than a direct quote from his just giving page. "My Dad got rushed to hospital with a bleed on the brain so now will be in hospital for a long long time as he is now in a coma on life support. My mum is staying up here every day and the room we have is £24 a night so I''m trying to organise this page to help raise money so my mum does not have to worry about paying for it. My dad is a popular bloke who does not have a bad bone in his body so please is you can spare anything that would be fantastic. The road to recovery will be long so please if you can help in any way that would be fantastic. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/Nick-Raven?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=socpledgemobile&utm_content=Nick-Raven&utm_campaign=post-pledge-mobile&utm_term=3y8859jEv Thank you and please help if you can
  5. A direct quote from the Republic of Ireland match report on the BBC website:- Brady struggled for much of the contest as both he and Republic left-back Stephen Ward found Bosnian right-sided midfielder Edin Visca a handful. The Hull City winger''s goal came in his only piece of attacking play of note as he cut inside Toni Sunuci before beating Bosnia''s Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic at his near post with a shot from 14 yards. Brady''s goal could hardly be seen from the stands such was the fog that had enveloped the Bilino Polje Stadium in Zenica.
  6. Was stood behind a Man Ure fan yesterday who unveiled his red football shirt but he was with his Norwich supporting mate. To me it looked like just two mates attending a game having laugh and not causing any problems. He was called over for a "chat" during the game and from his non re-appearance must have been ejected from the ground. I believe he offered to cover his shirt up and I must say I saw nothing in his behaviour towards the home fans at anytime that was an issue to get him ejected.
  7. Try http://www.raileasy.co.uk I travelled to Barnsley away this year for £28.00 (booked in advance) with my 15yr old son from Gloucester. You are tied to set trains but worth it for the savings.
  8. Garry Brooke - Jimmy Neighbour - Ian Crook - Ian Culverhouse - Mark Bowen (i think) - not sure also about Martin Peters
  9. Cant believe that nobody has mentioned Paul Mariner in their list of villians
  10. oh well 50% correct guessed away Same time next year before we play again ................
  11. Norwich getting a home draw in the FA cup third round....... more chance of our defence keeping a clean sheet
  12. you would have not continued to give them your custom with either the product provided and the level of customer satisfaction ages ago One of the girls in our asked office recently asked that "why when your team always loses why do continue to support them" One guy explained that football is a way of life for most supporters but you have to take the good with the bad I then said in life you must have met one person but regardless how badly they treated you, you keep going back for more and would always keep forgiving them ................. but eventually you leave them because enough is enough Unfortunatley for me I wont be parting with anymore hard cash until I start to see a return for my investment, having been to Coventry, Milton Keynes, Cardiff, Barnsley, Plymouth, Barnsley, Bristol, Derby and Sheff Utd this year, I have had my fill of watching rubbish. Whilst we will never fully know what goes on behind the scenes, I believe that any club with boardroom & management issues will spill out onto the pitch and affect the players performances that usually ends up in relegation.
  13. After the Barnsley away game today''s performance was much improved. Sometimes however you have to question our luck with having to use 2 subs during the 1st half due to injuries. Putting the bad luck aside the same issues remain with Crofty making excellent runs but unable to deliver the end product with a telling ball into the box that causes a defence problems and a serious lack of shots on goal or chances created that forces the goalkeeper into a save. Even will a free kick from a dead ball in a dangerous position  outside the area the ball failed to clear the first Bristol defender. We at times played some good football but I counted in the second half we had 2 shots on goal with the keeper having to only save one of them. However the Dick Of The Day award goes to the Bristol City fans who were singing "a song" about Curo thinking he was about come on as a sub when in fact it was Fozzy .
  14. Travelling to Barnsley on Saturday waiting for the late 11:03 to York after playing musical platforms being moved from 7A to 9A and then back to 7A at Birmingham New Street I had a feeling it wasnt going to be a good day for us but.................... Got chatting to a Sheff Utd fan after departing about the game the week before and was joined by a Wolves fan who had travelled up from Kent - usual conversation who are you playing today etc............ The Sheff Utd fan casually asked the Wolves fan out of interest having realised the error what are you doing on here next stop is Derby  The look on his face was priceless as the penny dropped and he realised that he had not only caught the wrong train that arrived in Derby at 12 he had no chance of making the 12:30 early kick off. His first reaction was to switch off his mobile so his mates couldn''t contact him on his mysterious disapperance but after arriving in Derby did gratefully thank us for not ridiculing him too much.
  15. I wonder if he ever regrets leaving Norwich? http://www.thisisgloucestershire.co.uk/sport/Kenton-features-reserves-defeat/article-348215-detail/article.html

  17. I know Julian very well and saw him at away games quite regular but not recently so guess his ms has worsened. He was not that impressed to see me as we always seemed to lose. It does however remind me also of when travelling to West Brom in the cup circa 81 when Big Cyril scored a screamer  - The bus we travelled on pulled into a service station and Kingo and crew rapidly dissappeared out the rear emergency door to "greet" some fans wearing blue and white from down the road.
  18. Originally Dereham Secondary Modern for the first year then went comprehensive and changed its name to Northgate High
  19. Zippy , you are right Grenna Greenwood ! !!  see him around every once in a while ! you must eb a dereham lad ! Yep a Dereham lad - left in 1983 to join the RAF and now settled in Gloucestershire. I was also at the Derby cup game - we were all penned into one area in the corner and was rather a tight squeeze but can remember Norwich fans climbing  the fence into the pen next door.
  20. Do you mean the Grimsby away game that the Norwich coaches were escorted by the police through every red traffic light after the game - I think one of the Dereham Posse Darren Greenwood was nicked on the day  - I maybe wrong but think he ended up on the pitch.
