1. Nethier   Go to Bruces AGENT ask if Bruce is interested in a ''Stable Job with a Good Board'' (don''t laugh!) Show some ambition and go for Jewell or Bruce.   SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!! stop going cheap with managers wages. The one person in the the club who has to earn it!!! With Steve bruce and the TURNERS money we will be Prem League and stable in 2-4 years. With Pulis or Allen we will allways be midtable or top 8 at best. Why settle for these two? WHY? WHY? WHY? This is our chance to change it around. stop messing it up or I''m quitting my season ticket next season. Final.   Cheers All
2. Oh God! I hope the Pink''un is wrong! I think Norwich City Football Club can do better than Tony Pulis! Ok so he''s done ok which Stoke, but OK is not good enough. Why not Jewell, Bruce, or even Hoddle etc..... Simple .... he''s cheap. Even if Jewell wanted to stay Prem League then why can''t we stop being the good little Norwich club and just ask to speak to Brum about Bruce! Why, Bruce might want to come here? Pay him what hes worth and get the right man! I don''t think this will go far to help the fans respect of the board. I can''t see Pulis getting the players full of confidence! WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY .....Tony Pulis oh god I''m in a bad mood now! Sorry but I am.   Ok ...... I hear you all .... "give him time we might get in the play-off, you never know" If he was that good how come NOBODY even mentioned his name before?   Cheers All
3. Hi, Just surprised that if the interviews are at Carrow road that no Press or die hard fans are outside Carrow road waiting for a famous face to turn up for his interview. I''ve seen Glen Hoddle, Steve Tilson, etc .... all mentioned on this website but no photo proof of anybody. They must be doing interviews at some remote location. When do you think the next Manager will be shown to the public?   any ideas?   Cheers All   (please not Ian Crook, Mark Bowen, Peter Taylor, Dion Dublin, Robert Fleck)
4. I HOPE you are WRONG.   We are asking for trouble by appointing a manager with no FULL management experience. We have 24,000+ fans and have the possibility of going to the Prem in the next 2 years if we pick the correct Manager. We are not that small a club. I would say we are bigger than QPR! and Palace! So why don''t we go for a high class manager? I would try to get Steve Bruce from Birmingham. The Fans will love Bruce and I believe Bruce would like it here. No worries with this board, compared to Birmingham. I understand what you mean totally but I just hope we go for a highly class of manager. We can''t afford to take risks! Cheers
5. Do you think the board will wait to see if Steve Bruce will leave Birmingham b4 he is pushed. Do you think they will privately interview Bruce on the quiet to see if he is interested. If you were Steve Bruce would you leave Birmingham for Norwich. As a ex-Norwich player and sucessfull Manager he MUST be on the short list, available or not. Also who would you rather have? Jewell, Bruce, or anybody else. Interesting times ahead.   Lets hope they get/pick a decent NAMED manager with experience. If Palace can get Warnock why can''t we get Jewell or Bruce?   Cheers All (please not Martin Allen, Mike Newell, Ian Crook, Mark Bowen, Peter Taylor - not good enough!)
6.
This thread is brilliant.  Do any of you know how far we have really fallen?  Reality check time... If you think Paul Jewell would take the Norwich manager''s job, you''re mad.  He wouldn''t come here.  He''s a premiership manager.  He''d want money (he wouldn''t get any budget for transfers), and a decent squad (!). Dennis Wise - would he leave Leeds for Norwich?  Nope. Kevin Keegan - oh, people, please!  WE ARE NO LONGER A BIG CLUB.  End of.  What can we offer a new manager? Zero budget for new players. A crap squad. Seven million quid''s worth of debt which means we have to sell before we buy - and we have no players worth selling. An inept board who run the club as a plaything. A set of fans who are straight on the backs of players and the new manager.   Why would Jewell or anyone want to come here at the moment?  Jeez, it''s unbelievable. We''ll get Jim Duffy, then someone from Port Vale or Accrington or possibly Carlisle.  That''s the best we can realistically hope for.
I hate to say it but I think your quote is spot on. I would love to see Paul Jewell here as any other named Manager, BUT and its a BIG BUT .... I fear the board already know who they are after, and I think its a cheap option. God help us if we get it wrong again!!! Time will tell, lets hope I get up one day and read a GOOD surprise on the back of the EDP, and not some crap inexperinced Manager from League 2. Anyway, Bye PG, you talked well but unfortunatly never really delivered the goods.     Cheers All
7. beats me too! The man is Brilliant for West Ham, my mates a hammer and rates him a lot. Just as we did! Any Ex - Norwich players like Ashton I wish them all well.   (except for the losers that is)
8.
Who the hell would want Steve Bruce here??? C**p manager and a traitor to the Canary Cause to boot... still haven''t forgiven him for leaving us to sign for Man Utd all those years ago when he was captain and we were bottom of the league!!!
Shut up Smudger!!! Who do you want as manager? Alex Ferguson!!! go back to Ipswich!!
9.
Peter Taylor is now free & available. Alright I know he''s just been sacked from Crystal Palace, but who realistically could perform with that perma tanned twat Simon Jordan breathing down your neck. The Turner''s, let''s see some of your cash you''ve pledged!!!!! For God''s sake don''t get Souness in, Peter Taylor, Neil Warnock is he''s stupid enough to take the job or someone who''s got some level of pedigree. At least with Warnock it''d be entertaining post match.
For me its a Paul Jewell, Glen Hoddle etc..... IF I saw the picture of a NAMED manager on the back of the edp with a Norwich shirt I''d be happy.   DID you see the QPR manager short list on SKY TV tonight???? The top 10 were all named mangers, even ex Valencia, Chelsea Manager!!! How come our short list was not like this, Its because we are cheap and don''t want to pay the wages of the manager! We are bigger than QPR. I''d take steve bruce anyday!!!  (If Brum sack him)   Cheers
10. Lets get rid of the entire team then and put Grant on the pitch!!! Don''t be stupid! I''ve seen this tonight and the home games as a season ticket holder, we are very poor and the manager needs to be given the blame!   Full STOP!
11. Paul Jewell, Glen Hoddle, (steve Bruce if sacked by Brum - was at game tonight!), a name manager!!!!!   not a inexperienced manager like Crook, Bowen etc...
12. Get this fool out.   Just watched this this my dad (first football game for years that my dad has come to) and a mate on SKY.   We are a joke, no ideas, no passion a joke, a joke a joke a joke!!! Time for a NAMED Manager, not a nobody like Grant.   Did anybody see the QPR manager short list!!! It looked better than our short list last year! Oh dear, its  a sad day and week and year at Norwich. We need to do somrthing now before we turn into the next Nots Forest or Leeds!! Cheers all.   (so much for the big brother results, I said  - Shef wed (WIN) Scunthorpe (WIN) QPR (Win or Draw) - look whats happened!!!)
13. Ok, so this was my old post from just after the Wolves Game:   I stated a replay against Man city (and although that mean''t a draw in 90mins) we still LOST I stated a win from Sheff Wed and we LOST I stated a win from Scunthorpe and we got a DRAW, 0-0!!! NOW WHAT? on this form its a loss from QPR away and a draw at Home to Bristol City. THAT WILL BE PLAYED 10   -   WON 2  Drawn 3 LOST 5 - 9 points from 10 games. (9 points from 30!!!) Far too poor for me.!!! KTF and keep Grant? Cut our losses and Get Paul Jewell or similar?  Time and results will tell....... Cheers All
14.
In years to come we will realise that the Huckerby statement probably saved the club - a voice speaking out when no one else would. Yes, Hucks is probably a bigger legend in his own mind than in reality, but he''s given us more good times than most other players in recent history. It''s just me folks, but I love a person who will speak the truth. He''s right, this is a shit side - Hucks loves this club, I have no doubts about that. I have spoken to him at length a couple of times, have heard him talk at various forums. He''s probably wondering what in god''s name is going on at the club right now. He''s got no faith in Grant - but then, let''s be honest who has? Was he right or wrong to speak out, that''s a matter of opinion, but he''s done it and it can''t be undone. Is he the player he was? No. Will he be again? No, age catches up with all of us. But he didn''t say this team is not as good as me, he said it was the weakest team he can remember at CR since he had been here. No denying that really is there? Have none of you ever spoken up against your boss or company ever? Good on you Hucks. I salute you and just wish someone on the board would come out and say they were shit too.
Some valid points there, but in the end what do you want to happen next?  Win the next 3 - 5 games and carry on from there with the know how that it may go wrong again? or lose the next two or 3 and hope for a beeter manager???? Its hay bl**dy nightmare!   Cheers
15. Hi all Its Monday, I''ve had time to reflect the papers and the websites and I can now say that I think we have two problems: 1.    Hucks has lost the plot. Firstly he is too cocky, stating that he has never played with such a poor squad (or something similar). This can only        piss off the fellow players in the squad. If you were at work and fellow worker stated that he had never worked with such a poor team, how       would you feel! I know what I''d do ''who do you think you are? God? - your 31+ and on the way out pal, F**k O**''  It was clear in the Shef Wed game that a lot of       players didn''t want to pass to Hucks. Hes starting to become a ''bind'' to the club, play hucks or we will lose, ''you can''t leave hucks out'' and something of a liability. his       performances so far have been poor also, and we rely too much on him for attacking. Teams know this. 2.   Grant talks the talk but can''t walk the walk. Speaks well of his team but lacks ideas, tatics etc. the league position shows this and doesn''t lie. When was the last time we        played well (and I mean well) under Grant? Sorry time for a change. The problem is what do we want next? We all know what the board are like, if we beat Scunny then lose to QPR then draw with Bristol, this will be enough to keep Grant in a job. It will take another 3 defeats to get the board to take notice. We hung on to Worthy for too long, I fear the same for Grant. Also if (and a big if) we get a new manager, it must be a ''name'' we must spend the money we don''t have to get one. Not a non descript nobody. Had anybody heard of Grant b4 he came to city. I hadn''t until somebody told me where he was from. To be fare I like Grant, I just fear he has lost the squad and is over his head too deep. I thought this might be the season for a play-off spot. (Ha, Ha) Its a sad time, I for one have had enough and just want a named manager and some good times back at city. We have a good crop of players, ok we need a couple of signings at the back, but in the end the team should perform with passion and belief. This is lacking big time again this season. Cheers All
16. Oh dear, Lost to Man City Lost to Shef Wed Lose to Scunthorpe? Surely NOT! Well they beat Cholchester away from home and aren''t doing that badly in the league. After the message from Doncaster stating that BIG Brothers are watching GRANTS progress with a keen eye after the Wolves Game. What are they thinking now? A loss to the bottom side which had  played 7 lost 6! Won 1. (b4 game). At times our defense was a joke at the back with Shef Wed playing one-twos through our chess peice static players. IF WE LOSE ON TUESDAY what will happen? Grant resign? Major board meeting and a 3 game must win situation? Vote of Confidence? Fans protests? only 23,500 at Shef Wed Game, I''m predicting 21,000+ at Scunthorpe tuesday night. Its a sad time for the club, I left at 88mins on Saturday, had enough, (and had guests round at 8pm so got away early.). Any views ..... how long will it go on for?
17. ok so I put a draw against man city, sorry forgot no replays in the cup. Anyway .... MAN CITY RESULT - A good perfornace from the made-up team, good enough start as I see it. Has grant found a young team with jarvis and co, by mistake like england did when they played Barry and the rest, as Beckham/lampard/Rooney wher injured? A team with more determination? Do you keep jarvis in or play Hucks? Put Hucks on the bench? Lets hope that on saturday we get the same performance that they did at Man City. It must be a confidence boost to say that for 88 mins we matched a Prem League side that are playing well under Sven.   However we need to score. The perfect score would be 3 - 0, will Brown,Cureton and Striker boy all netting. Come on lads, keep going .... the rewards will come in the end.   Cheers All
18. Sorry its a long post ..... But its a critical time at present, do you share my views, do you think the Big Brothers at the Board think the same? Cheers All
19. Hi all, Sad isn''t it? Really, that we are already talking about sacking Grant because we only have 7 points from 7 games. The problem is that in Professional Football results make or break careers. A lot of people are blaming the board for appointing a ''cheap'' manager or lack of funds, some the players and there lack of passion, confidence and ideas. But Most are blaming Peter Grant, stating that the ''buck'' stops with the Manager, its his team now, his team talk, his training, his tatics, his lack of ideas, he is the problem. Well, Well, Well .... I''m a season ticket holder, and although I don''t go to away games I know from the palace game that we don''t seem to be going forward. (I''m self employed and I said to my mate I go to football with, in the first half I''d rather be working than watch this!) So what now? I feel that the next 4 to 5 games are critical in the build up of NCFC. If grant can install some belief in the players and muster up some wins and good wins, by that I mean play well. (Not scrape a win via a penalty or own goal while playing poorly.) Then we may turn this season around, confidence can make a season. We don''t have a weak team, yes we have ''some'' average players but one man doesn''t make a team. Remember Greece in Euro 2004? Say no more. So a Mininmum result for the Boards Big Brothers must be: MAN CITY league Cup - A good fight with a DRAW and replay? (Anything else like a Man City thrashing would not help team morale against Shef Wed.) SHEF WED -    WIN and statrting to play with some cohesion, passion, belief in what Norwich is about. (passing football!) SCUNTTHORPE - WIN confidence against Shef Wed game and players back from suspendsion. QPR (away)    - DRAW - Tough place, all away games seem hard for Norwich at present, but a 1-1 draw looks good. BRISTOL CITY -  WIN lets show this newly promoted side how its done, YES they are playing well but  we are at Home and if you want to get anywhere we must win. If this is the results which it should be then the pressure will lift from Grant. BUT  ...... If they continue to self destruct against these teams above and play poorly then I fear the Knife will come down from the Board. Failure to win at home after Scunthorpe and it may be too late. Your opinions? IMO: I just want us to play well under Grant, he talks the talk but doesn''t seem to walk the walk at present. I don''t want all the hype with a new boss only to find out that its someone I''ve never heard of. We spent too long with interviews and interviews for the posting last time. Experinced names like Bryan Robson, Glen Hoddle, Paul Jewel etc (for example only) Just pay the money, get the experience manager and the results will come. Stop trying to buy Champagne with lager money!Yes our accounts are rubbish, but being in the Championship is like a slippery slope, the longer we say here the harder it will be to get out again. Cheers All.
20.
Has anyone else noticed that hes in the Leeds team that have just gone 7 straight wins?? What do we make of that ? To be fair I thought we should have kept him... just for his heart... But it also proves that management is everything at a club... Wise has had nowt to spend and had to sell players in fact... So how does that work? Belief ? Luck ? Or superb man management ??
I think that if the current team played with the same amount of FIRE and PASSION that Hughes showned in each game we would be top 6. Final Cheers All. Good luck to the bloke
21. I think that myself and my mate are the two grumpy old men in the middle. Always moaning about the game.   great video and idea, more needed in the future. Excellent, made me laugh a lot! Cheers
22.

in answer to ur question grant has never been the man what a joke todays performance was so lifeless theres more life in a piece of a meat i have to admit i wud have put this whole day down as a total an utter waste of time if it had not been for some fit women dancin in front of us norwich fans at half time
Did you get a picture of her???? Was she that good? Mind you anybody was better than Norwich in this game, the last game. the game before that, the season before that, and before that!!!!!!! I will stay with option A until the next 3 league games. 9 pionts mininmum!!!!. Cheers All
did i get a picture of who m8?
Sorry I thought you had a Fit women near the Away pen, that was dancing. I thought If shes that nice you may had taken a picture. Didn''t realise is was a dancing Act on the pitch. *************************** Back to the main topic - our poor state of a club Norwich: IF WE DRAW AGAINST SHEF WED AND BEAT SHRESBURY BUT THEN LOSE TO QPR. eg. 4 points from 9. What then? Sack the manager, or an improvement to current form? Given the suspended players etc. Personaly I think we should get 7 points min. W/W/D. (Shef Wed are bottom, Shresbury are new promoted and QPR are bottom 5 as well.)   Cheers All (again) ***************************

24. Sorry this isn''t a link to his comments ... But a Post reflecting just how down Darren Sounded. He comments on the ''This being the worse team hes been in'' and a weak squad with missing players like saf, dickson etc. We need something to bring him and the other players confidence up. How about beating Man City in the cup? That would do it! I very much doubt it as Huckerby said ''we won''t win the cup anyway''! The Man city Game must be taken seriously to restore some confidence, we can''t go there and lose 5+ - 0!!! Next three LEAGUE Games very important to change the season around. If we don''t get 6 points from 3 games even the board might react? Cheers All
