  1. I don’t care what a manager says about a signing he has just made. He is hardly going to say ‘Bali is OK, might excite the fans a bit, might not though’. Farke called Tzolis one of the most exciting prospects in Europe and he is a manager with more success than Schumacher, doesn’t mean he was right
  2. That’s just it, he promises nothing really. He may be able to provide, but he may not and perhaps £1 million represents a low risk sum whereas Onel has already paid back his contract value
  3. Let’s see your predictions for this season then Nostradamus. Be good to have one, so far you’ve predicted we wont be promoted, but I feel a bit more specificity is fair with your prowess. You’ve essentially predicted we could finish 3rd-24th
  4. Sun shines on a dog’s **** sometimes
  5. 5 goals 7 assists. Decent return tbf but onel scored 2 and made 5 in 10 fewer games
  6. It’s almost as though there are loads of other clubs all trying to outcompete each other for limited places where sometimes they manage it and other times they don’t. Weird concept competitive sport. Maybe keep your toys in the pram, it won’t always go the way we plan and sometimes that’s our fault, other times it’s because others did it better. It’ll come around again just as sure as next preseason you’ll be predicting Armageddon (again)
  7. Just described Onel and it doesn’t mean there is necessarily end product to be found.
  8. I love your ‘truth’ and how it contains a lot of assumptions about the takeover talks. Why don’t you tell us what you really think? In the sarcastic words of Nutty ‘WE ARE DOOMED’
  9. They’re a very good side on the ball tbf, posed a good test for England at the Euros and played some very Spainesque possession football along the way
  10. Oh shut the f*** up you womble. Who even says that on this thread? It’s not relevant whatsoever, but don’t let that stop you trying to be funny unsuccessfully as per. Buh makes a very salient point about the gap in the countries investing in it and those not as to the big disparity in standard. The rugby union World Cup isn’t a far cry from this tbh.
  11. Not like you to be negative…
  12. I guess you could take him up on his offer of a bet and see
  13. Well now I’m disappointed. I have a great bum if that helps?
  14. Out of reactions! No probs
  15. Starts by complaining about the home kit - honestly, who the f*** cares? Shortage of centre backs - Duffy, Gibson, Omo with Hanley to return. Do you think we have the resources to stock up on 5-6 competitive CBs? You’re in dreamland if you do. New arrivals turning up injured - one arrival got injured after he turned up at colney in training. Try reading some actual facts Selling Mumba for peanuts - how do you know what he is worth? DM and AM were partially responsible for last years poor performance but if they’re not deemed pivotal in a new system then signing them would be a waste of money. If we still had DF then I’d agree, but we don’t, so it’s not relevant. our undoing was losing the level of quality we had with lesser quality. It was never going to be easy and it proved so. Sara had an operation, he needed it and he has had it with the least impact to his influence in the season. He isn’t ‘missing in action’. Who is Wagner playing out of position? Just clarify for me as you seem to have insight? if you hate being negative why are you only looking for mostly made up negatives? What do you think of Stacy? What about going toe to toe with a Europa conference finalist? What about the experience we have brought in which was hugely lacking last season? Plenty of positives there to be found in plain sight. I go to games, I go with actual friends I can interact with beyond a screen and a keyboard. We go and enjoy the highs and the lows and the good and bad decisions as a collective. I’m always optimistic at the start of a season because frankly, you never know. Farke’s second season was not that long ago and it proves that anything can happen even if the past wouldn’t always suggest it immediately. Honestly, if it brings you no joy then why bother?
  16. I’m male, but close enough
  17. Am I not allowed to read other posts and comment on them? Sorry, thought this was a forum. Don’t fancy answering the points it raises then?
  18. I’d like to go up, not going to cry if we don’t as long as we see progress from last season in what is clearly a transitional period brought about by our own bad decisions
  19. As per my reply to CDMullins above
  20. If you jump to that conclusion then sure, but have you looked up the careers of Paddy Lane and Lewis Johnson? For every Jude Bellingham there are a good handful of layers that peak at league one. Mumba might not be one of them and he might be. Not sure your clairvoyance is reliable, but I’m happy to be proven wrong and eat my words if Mumba stands out this season too. I expect he would be in the radar of bigger clubs than Plymouth if he really stood out as clearly we would accept more than 800k if offered it, especially if it was by a team not in the same division
  21. The person who is employed to pick the team? Yes him. Time will tell
  22. I agree with this. Totally pointless keeping a player we don’t intend to use imo and although it seems very cheap I expect the Add ons may be designed to cover us to a certain extent if he were to go on to big things. Equally, we are clearly moving towards a more data driven moneyball model, which many are keen on as they’ve seen it work at Brentford. If the data says he isn’t what we need then he has to go. The one or two performances and good goals in league 1 could easily flatter to deceive as satisfying as they were to watch in a few seconds of highlights every 4 weeks. I’m not buying the claims of the keyboard warrior doom mongers on here that ‘definitely’ watched all of his games for Plymouth and knows more than all of the NCFC coaching team and its network of scouts and staff. Full of b.s. the lot of them. the thought that he might be our saviour is far too tempting for some not to assume he definitely will be.
