  1. I''m going too, so please let us all know of any pubs that are worth a shot.....
  2. just bought two tickets - the guy who sold the tickets claimed he was the floor sweeper, ticket seller, tea maker & boot cleaner. He straight away asked me for my postcode (NW6), then asked why i wanted to go to the game. "to watch some footy" i said. He asked me why, so i relpied " to watch us play the canaries, it should be a good game, they are top of the league after all" He then said I could go, but would have to pay the higher price of ticket (£30), cos he still thought i was a yella, but between me & him they need all the £ they can raise! Bless the poor guy, i felt really sorry for him, their footy club & made me so happy & proud to be part of the best club going!! Hopefully, see some of you in the home stands next Saturday. I''ll be the one impersonating Worthy by wearing ''a wry smile''.
  3. Same here mate - Although, I am prepared to sit with the dons fans. Is anyone else in the same boat, in which case could we start to form a ''Canary splinter segment'' in another stand? Let me know fellow canaries...
  4. Please please, does anyone know of any ''friendly'' pubs in Norwich that may do this? Coming up from London for my parents wedding anniversary dinner may be the best choice I''ve made for a while if I can find one of these pubs!! If you don''t want to post the name of the pub, can you email me at joe.copeman@capitalradiogroup.com ?? It would be much appreciated!
  5. Diane, are you: a) Worthy''s wife b) Worthy ???????????????????? Whatever, I love you!
  6. Not wanting to get ahead of myself here, but IF he was coming to discuss terms with us tomorrow, what time does he he have to have signed by in order to play on Sunday?? Is it 12pm?? Just as long as he signs!!
  7. Do I sense a note of insecurity? Sorry, that''s 5 whole syllables. Try ''scared''? Bet you were one of those that sent Davey Champers!! Good Luck!!
  8. I don''t think a protest or sit in is at all desrved. Of everyone with any interset in the club, I think you will find that Delia, MWJ, etc will want to bring all 3 loanees to the club more than anyone. They have done brilliantly so far this season, and I''m sure that right now, as you read this post, they will be doing everything they possibly can to keep the players. Yep, it''s frustrating for us not knowing whats going on, but I think just a tad over the top to start talking protests, when they deserve a pat on the back. If in January, we have none of the 3, and we have slipped down the table, then you have every right to be upset. But not now!
  9. Just put my message on and had it approved in two minutes. So to the moderators - Good Stuff, hats off!
  10. Yep, I totaly agree, lets not get too caught up in the Huckerby / Crouch debate, when we have another quality attacker in McVeigh already on our books. Imagine how excited we would be if we were about to sign him on a free - we are pretty much in that situation now if we extend his contract. My realistic bet is that we extend Crouch''s loan, but lose Huckerby, so long as it is not to Wigan or another competitor. We keep Green & Drury for the moment & get another striker on loan. I just hope he is good enough to maintain our push for the top two spots. But, we must not let McVeigh go.
  11. apparently, my postman''s wife heard from a friend in the WI that he was asking about hoover bags in an electrical shop in Dereham. The deal is as good as done me thinks.......
  12. Like a few people, I was gutted to phone for tickets to be told all away ones had gone. Therefore, rather than listen on radio or watch some bloke on Sky Sports give a 30 second sum up every 15 mins, we''ve taken the plunge and got tickets in the Dr Martins Upper. Is anyone else in the same boat? If so, join us, we should stick out!!
  13. Hi fellow yellows, Yep, like the other guy, I''ve cocked up too & left it too late! I only need the one ticket, so I would be hugely grateful if anyone had a spare one. I''ll pay the ticket prize and buy them a pint!! But please sort the other guy out first as he was first to put in a plea! Please email me at joe.copeman@capitalradiogroup.com or 07887 581515 Cheers OTBC
  14. Yep, good spot. Anyone got any ideas? I quite fancy some mindless speculation... Geremi?
  15. He sounds just the type we are after. The big man to knock the ball down to little McVeigh. And at 22 he''s still so young, his footy can improve, as can his touch and mentality. If we don''t get him, then I pity my fellow yellows, who will once again feel let down. Come on Worthy, show the colour of your cash, use your power of pursuasion, and pull the lanky plank from Brum.
  16. I agree with that totally. From all I''ve seen of the boy, and it''s not much due to his injury hell, he seems a strong, energetic hard working midfielder that can workwell behind the fowards. My main memory, however painful it is, is him firing in the cross to Iwans head that gave us the lead in Cardiff. I think it would provide healthy competition to either Rivers on the right, or Francis / Mulryne / Holt in the middle. Just so long as he stays fit this time - good luck to the fella!
  17. apparrently us and Wigan have had a bid accepted for the guy. Is this true? How much? Is he gonna be the 20+ stiker that has illuded us so far? Please shed some light fella yellas!!
