1.
The mood definitely needs to be lifted on here it''s getting a bit dour! I''ve seen these threads on here before and they always make me laugh so I thought I''d start one. I''m woefully limited on stories. The guys around me are generally pretty dull. I get the odd tug on the back for standing if we score or if I explode at a ref but no real mental stories. Do you sit next to "cheese board"? What''s your funniest/weirdest story about someone who sits near you
Have you considered a career as an after-dinner speaker? F***ing hell….
2.
The only team we can compete with at the moment in terms of wages is Watford. That''s it. The other clubs you mention can all offer far more money and that is why the players choose them over us.
Given that we''ve spent 4 of the last 5 years in the EPL, why is that?
3. Leicester, Palace, Watford, West Ham, Stoke, West Brom - even bloody Bournemouth, are all clubs of comparable size to us who manage to attract decent players - yet we are forced to put up with cr@p like Rudd, Martyn, Basssong, Jerome etc etc etc and an inexperienced unknown manager plucked from the bloody scottish league. Why?????
4. The real problem is the clappers who put up with this cr@p! And to keep dribbling on about Wembley is, frankly, pathetic. We the fact that we needed the play-offs to get out of the championship is testament to how we blew our automatic promotion chances in the run-in. Noone expected us to win the league this year but with some sensible investment in players over the summer and a decent manager we could have at least been competitive. I doubt there has ever been such a p1ss poor performance in EPL history than our first half display against Everton. The 2nd half improvement only papered over the cracks.
5. With Bournemouth and Newcastle getting their act together and Sunderland (despite losing on Saturday) showing signs of improvement, it is doubtful that 40 points - already an optimistic target for NCFC - will be enough to beat the drop this year
6. "Unlucky not to score"????? The useless sod should be sent into exile for that miss!!!!
7. The perfect excuse to sack him and get this useless butter-fingered buffoon off the payroll before January
8. In his last two post match interviews he has appeared confused and unsure about what has been going on the pitch. For his own sanity it would be best if he took a long holiday as soon as possible
9. Last week after Watford had battered us for 90 minutes, AN said ''there was nothing between the teams.'' Yesterday he felt that Everton ''could have been 2 or 3 up by half time.'' Make that 7 or 8!!! He is clearly in denial. I wish we had gone in at half time 8-0 down yesterday - at least that might have forced the board to get rid of this talentless joke of a manager. I was heartened by the chorus of booing that rang out from all sides of the stadium at half time that suggests that the majority of NCFC do not share the simplistic ''it''ll be alright on the night'' views of the happy clappers that dominate this site. AN MUST GO!!
10. Tettey gave as bad a display as I have ever seen against Watford. Whatever 11 AN puts out I can see nothing but an emphatic away
11.
Thetford I feel sorry for you, keep hating...........
Run out of ideas already have you? Chimp
12.
Tell me Thetford, did you go to Watford ? and did you go to CR the previous week for the Arsenal game? answer those and then explain the differences, once you have managed to complete that then you can start to explain your theory on self flagellation as you put it.
Yes and yes. Arsenal were disrupted by the injuries to key players yet still outplayed us. The result merely papered over the cracks. Watford were 100 per cent better than us in every department. Why? Because their board had the foresight to see that the manager/some of the players that got them out of the Champ were not good enough for the PL and acted in the summer to bring in the quality needed from around Europe. Meanwhile we dithered hopelessly in the bargain basement and kept faith with an unknown manager who would never be capable of attracting the calibre of player we need. Is that OK for you? Tw at
13.
Go Ricardo Go.......................... well said. Life as a football fan is simple, there will be more lean times than anything, if you cant take it, do something else.
What you clappers don''t seem to understand is that some people feel that following NCFC should be more than a form of self flagellation.
14.

Nearly every Norwich fan knew this would be a hard season. Some stay strong in the face of adversity. Others crumble at the first sign of trouble. I know who I''d want backing me up..........
Well i certainly would not want somebody backing me up who lives in la la land believing all you have to do is stay positive and things get better , try living in the real world Herman . By the way why are Watford not having a hard season , is it because their fans all believe or because the Board signed them some players in the summer capable of playing at this level , take an hour or two it may come to you .
Yes indeed! The head in the sand brigade - of whom Herman is a ringleader - will no doubt persist in their pathetic response of crying ''binner'', ''pant wetter'', ''waveney'' etc to anyone who dare to attempt to discuss the club''s all to obvious failings - as some of us have been doing for some time
15. How many of our team would get in the Watford side on Saturday? None
16. More worryingly was AN''s comments after the game that "theres nothing between the sides." Either the man''s on drugs or in denial. All the NCFC fans I spoke to in the pub round the corner from Vicarage Road yesterday (the Oddfellows?) before and after the match think he''s got to go
17. So you think Poyet wouldn''t be tempted to say cheerio to the ''bubbles'' and return to the PL if the right offer came his way? Dear me
18. Strong noises from well connected sources at Brighton & HA that if our performances and results don''t improve markedly in the next two games the NCFC board will do what they should have done in the summer - thank AN politely for all his hard work before kicking him in to the long grass. Gus Poyet (hence B&HA connection, for the slower among you) will take over during the international break.
19. Can anyone recall a more inept passage of play at PL level than the Ruddy/Bassong/Martin masterpiece that resulted in City''s first penalty on Saturday?
20. With our next six fixtures after Swansea unlikely to produce many victories, failure to win on Saturday will mean that we''ll enter the new year with around 10-15 (max) points. In other words, we''ll have to win almost 50 per cent of our games in the second half of the season to stand any chance of reaching the 40 point survival mark. And that ain''t gonna happen, I''m afraid
21. Anything less than total humiliation would be a bonus
22. Between now and January we face Man City (A), Swansea (H), Chelsea (A), Arsenal (H), Watford (A), Everton (H), Man Utd (A), Tottenham (A) and Villa (H). I''d be interested to hear against whom the happy-clapping, AN-worshipping, replica kit with ‘BASSONG’ on the back-wearing optimists believe we will pick up our next point? Before answering, please consider that, so far, we are conceding an average of over 2 goals per game. I look forward to hearing from you in due course
23. Why does anyone think we''ll have more success recruiting the players that we so desperately need in January - when we will be adrift at the bottom of the table - than we did in the summer? Why are so many contributors so deluded? For the record, I''d be interested to hear against whom the happy clapping optimists believe we will pick up our next point? Before answering, please bare in mind that we are conceding around 2 goals per game
24.
Oh joy it''s half term.
Another one without an original thought in his skull. Don''t bother mate
25. GPB - I can see what you''ve done there. You''re implying that anyone who does not tow the NCFC party-line must be a school age child who supports Ipswich. Dolt
