I don''t think the club has really decided on a particular footballing philosophy, and therein lies the problem.
Having read some interesting posts of late, i have understood where the club philosophy is heading, a long term Swansea/Soton mentality, rather than the sack and replace all of old. And i applaud this philosophy. Just a case of myself and others having the patience to see it come to fruition. That is the hard part.Footballing style. That''ll come in time. Let''s get the confidence of the players back first.
Aside from appointing a novice, I agree on the stupidity of the sack cycle especially when it involves manager plus two coaches going in/out every 18 months. But I do wonder about what the footballing style actually is. From the early games it looked like an emulation of Paul Lambert''s side, but that plan seems to have been binned already. I''d prefer something of a step up from crossing the ball for a big striker to head home, there''s too many other teams that play that sort of game.

3.

A bit easier to dodge the question when it''s one of three. I suspect there were several more unanswered submissions which asked a single question about the manager''s future.
What do you honestly expect him to say?"Yeah, thanks for the question, aye, that Adams lad is on borrowed time, if we don''t win Saturday he''s getting his P45"
I never mentioned what I expected him to say. Now that you bring the subject up I would have expected easy questions and PR friendly answers. That''s exactly what we got.

6. The situation would be reversed if we played quality football with a lull when the team lost and a rejoicing when we won. At the moment we have mainly die hard all weather fans salivating at a narrow kick and rush win. The other end of the spectrum, ie the people who appreciate quality football, don''t much care about yesterday''s game.
7. I think we''ll be very lucky to make the playoffs. With Derby, Bournemouth, Middlesborough and Watford streets ahead of us we''d be looking to compete with 4 or 5 teams in a tight division for 5th or 6th spot. What''s almost for certain is that a top 2 finish is beyond us and we lack the ability to be confident of promotion. They quality of play just isn''t there.
8. It was a win but nothing to get excited about. The same old faults were on display but we managed to scrape home. Second half was all long balls and showed that we''re just an average team.
9. The club said they didn''t need to sell in the summer but that didn''t stop them. Time to give Rudd a go and cash in imho.
10. £3 or £4m would be handy to repair our midfield and get scoring goals again. Despite today''s result I think we need a bit of a clearout in January to halt the slide.
11. I thought Ruddy had a decent game. Hopefully it''s a case of fattening the goose up for the transfer window so that we can buy a couple of outfield players.
12. This result is like the West Ham game last season, enough to save the manager''s bacon but we''ll no doubt eventually look back and rue not sacking Adams after the Reading game. I expect Phelan will eventually realise the club is run poorly and exit within the next couple of years to join a club with more ambition. Meanwhile the club will trundle around with mid table finishes until we next get relegated.
13. A win might be a win, but on today''s showing don''t expect a top 6 finish.
14. Watching Laffery''s free kick was like watching Bambi fall over on the frozen lake.
15. This is bog standard long ball football. Nothing more, nothing less.
16. You can see why Phelan wants things kept simple as anything remotely complex is prone to messing up.
17. It''s the final ball that''s letting Norwich down. Adams is hanging on by his fingernails as fear creeps back in.
18. Wigan are coming back into this now. Apart from the goal Norwich have offered very little and despite their shortcomings I can see this being a draw.
