lake district canary 4,531 Posted November 1, 2014 Holt has been stated in Huddersfield as being the main reason Huddersfield have turned it round. Not just part of the reason but the main reason. He became an instant hero and they absolutely love him there and already been described as a "taliman". Our loss is theur gain. Wigan missed a trick with him - but you can''t keep a gppd man down. lake district canary 4,531 Posted November 1, 2014
Would still have been here but for Hughton
Probably, but didn''t he try and leave before Hughton arrived when he had those contract issues?
grefstad 0 Posted November 1, 2014 He assisted the 2-0 goal as well.Would do a job here, if an offer wss on the table, but he would never come here again with his family up northwest.Got to be happy we had him here in his prime. What a player.
Jacks Back 0 Posted November 1, 2014 He appears to be almost back in his prime during our promotion season. Being paired with a quick forward in Nahki Wells is bringing the best out of best of them

lake district canary 4,531 Posted November 2, 2014 "love him to bits but as things are now jerome is a much better player" Superb cross from Holt on the left for Huddersfiel''d second goal then an excellent left foot shot from the edge of the area for the third goal. Jerome better than Holt? If Holt is at his best - as he appears to be for Huddersfield - then it is a close run thing as to who is the best influence on the pitch. lake district canary 4,531 Posted November 2, 2014
"a much better player"""the best influence on the pitch. "not the same things
Splitting hairs City 1st. If Hoilt is the better influence on the pitch, then that makes him the better player because of what he is bringing to the team. Anyhow, if you are talking about goal scoring ability then Holt''s past would indicate that if he is on top form - and it seems he is - then he is likely to score as many as Jerome will this season. Don''t get me wrong though. Jerome is our man and is doing great atm - but will imo only bear comparison with Holt if he can keep scoring all season and reaching 20 plus goals.
