chocolate nutter 0 Posted August 20, 2005 Just listened to the game once again fleming costs us the game!!!!!!!!,Nigel why do you keep picking this man when it is obvious that he is not up to it?????. Don''t buy morrison buy someone who can tackle, head, pass the ball everything that fleming can''t. You say that Ashton is staying but if we can''t win a game for love or money do you think he will want to stay??????. I must say that i am so angry that after 4 games we still can''t win when other so called worse off teams ie watford, luton, ips##t can and out score us when on paper we have a attacking front line i put this down to NW bad tactics, decisions, team selection i think the board need to think about where this man is taking us at this rate div 1!!!!!!!!!!!!. Northern Canary 0 Posted August 20, 2005 From the match reports it seems Fleming couldnt do anything about it.And also, although im worried about our results so far - sunderland got only 5 or so points from their first 6 games and then won the league. Theres a long time to go but we need to win quickly to get it started

Today sounded unfortunate but the fact remains that we have let goals in each game and this is worrying - particularly given that this includes Coventry and Crewe. We need the defence to be sorted rather quickly. That said, the stats show that we were well ahead on possession (for once) and also ahead on shots. Were it not for what sounds a rather poor decision by the ref (+ for the retake) we would not have lost the game. IMO, it is only a matter of time before we get the results we are starting to deserve, and will start to climb the table very swiftly. Sunderland last season showed that a good start isn''t necessary - indeed, so did we when we won the title in 85-86 - we lost 3 out of the first 5 that season but won it at a canter. Go on, have a look around, see whos potentially available for around the 2m mark who would definately improve the squad (ie, tried and tested)You''ll find theres not many players around that fit that criteria. Those that do are likely to be on the fringes of Premiership clubs and would not drop a division even if we could afford them and their wages.Clubs in our division aren''t going to let players go to a rival unless they need the money and even then if they''re actaully any cop then we''ll be competing with lower Prem clubs for their signature.Good defenders are a lot harder to find than good strikers, a striker can do virtually nothing all match and become a legend just by popping up in the right place a couple of times a game. Defenders that are only in the right place twice a game get dropped and sold to the conference
silver fox 0 Posted August 21, 2005 Has anyone told the conference teams that Fleming is available.
