Mourinho out
If we aren''t going to go for a win at Hull where will we?
Exactly, that''s the whole point and there''s no comparison with Chelsea going to Man U for a draw & us going to Hull for a draw.We should be going to places like Hull aiming for a win.Furthermore, Chelsea got their point, we didn''t.Even when we were 1-0 down & Hull were down to 10 (with only 30 minutes on the clock) you still got the impression that Hughton would have settled for one goal & a draw rather than going all out for a win. What did we have to lose that we didn''t end up losing anyway. It''s baffling

Reading I do think there was more that could have been done.

There were two options for me!

Instead of Snodgrass on (who was clearly not fit), 3 at the back, with Whitaker pushing up to wide right.  With the 3 at the back you need one holding midfielder to sweep.  This should be enough against a weakened attack!

this would have allowed Elmander to come on earlier to have 1 out and out striker, one just off the striker, 2 attacking Midfield players and two wide players.  This change could have been made at the latest Half time with use of only 1 sub!  The whole dynamics of the team changes, but still keeps a solid shape!

This would have given more targets up front and the options of Wes for Jonny if more creativity needed and Becchio as another striker option later on.

The other option was to withdraw one of the Holding Midfielders, bring Elmander on wide right with Redmond wide left and RvW in the middle as a 433or 4123 formation. Still defensively solid, but you are no longer asking your wide men to defend.  They can occupy 4 defenders easily with 2 or even 3 midfielders sitting high up the pitch strangling the defense and midfield by continuously putting pressure on the opposition box.

Again this is done with just 1 sub early and, which allows more freedom to change or compliment later depending on the development of the game.

The game was there for the taking and it seems we are slow at seizing the opportunities to really take the game by the scruff of the neck.  We did it against Everton after going 1 nil up and went defensive (Nearly cost us).  Against Hull we seemed to be afraid of grasping the Nettle and going for the Jugular.

Apologies for the cliches but I feel they are apt.
He brought on another striker with 60mins gone. And brought on Hoolahan
He should have brought on another striker as soon as they went down to 10 men. This would have forced them to change formation, make their own substitution & become less organized.Elmander had 25 minutes when he should have had 60 minutes. That doesn''t look like doing everything possible to win, or even draw, to me.

The difference here is that Mourinhos team were defending a point against 11 men and the champions away from home. Thus this is a good point and they will hope to beat them at the bridge meaning 4 points from 6.

We were defending nothing, quite the opposite, we were looking to get something out of Hull, a newly promoted team assembled on a shoestring and down to 10 men allbeit away from home. We should have tried harder and had more quality to at least threaten more than RVW''s header.

Remember what Stoke did to us last year in a similar game, they put us under so much pressure and it finally told with Kenwyne jones scoring a scrappy leveller after they flooded our box and launched countless balls in. We should have been doing this for the last 10/15 minutes of that game rather than tippy tapping it around hoping for a ''cleverly worked goal'' and stringing 5 passes together only to mess up the 6th one.
