Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted May 9, 2013 Hughton is a conundrum: how can anyone with so little charisma be so popular? He is the football equivalent of Magnolia Vinyl Silk Emulsion. But if he keeps us up he earns the chance to manage into next season and see where we are by Christmas. If he doesn''t; then it''s Worthyhog Day.

Devils Advocate. 0 Posted May 9, 2013 Hughton is "popular" because he doesn''t wind anyone up and is not threatening like most managers can be. People felt sorry for him after being fired at Newcastle. If we lose on Sunday, he won''t be so popular here anyway.
The Walking Man 13 Posted May 9, 2013
I think it is all about context: we got the equaliser against Everton in the dying stages, so yes, at that point we''d have accepted a draw. It doesn''t mean you won''t keep trying for more, but you have to consider that one point is better than none. It is sensible logic that has applied to league games for decades.
There was 10 minutes of the game left (inc injury time). We had battered Everton for 25 minutes prior to equalizing, why would you NOT want to go on to try and win the game!? Everton barely created a chance in the second half, go for the win we needed the 3 points desperately.
kingsway 94 Posted May 9, 2013 This seasons all about staying up with a limited squad and limited budget! Hughtons popularity cause of his style of play is irrelevant! People who can see the bigger picture will understand this!
