Capt_Canary 0 Posted January 21, 2013 Be happy with either Danny Graham or Gary Hooper. Also Curtis Davies as defensively we still look vulnerable and he offers pace, leadership and experience. Ryan Bennett does not seem ready at the moment and looks like a rabbit in headlightsWould also take a loan of.any one of Tom Huddlestone, Scott Sinclair, Aaron Ramsey or Danny Welbeck
marvin the martian 0 Posted January 21, 2013 Would also take a loan of.any one of Tom Huddlestone, Scott Sinclair, Aaron Ramsey or Danny Welbeck I''m sure they''re all desperate to come here ........
Capt_Canary 0 Posted January 21, 2013 All but maybe Wellbeck would benefit from first team football, why not?Sinclair be great addition and now a forgotten man
Jim Smith 2,610 Posted January 21, 2013 Welbeck does indeed seem to be benefitting from 1st team football -with Manchester United for whom he is currently starting alongside Van Persie. Played very well yesterday. No way he is going out on loan.
ROBFLECK 134 Posted January 21, 2013 Well, in my opinion, if we don''t sign anyone , we are going down or we''ll need a "turn in fortune" to stay up... This is a very hard statement, don''t shoot me down, but after the last few games our problems have been horribly exposed . I would be happy with one signing even...just let it be a good one!!! Things are looking grim now aren''t they?
ron obvious 1,711 Posted January 21, 2013 ROBFLECK I understand your worries, I was pessimistic as Hell after the Fulham game, but Hughton got them organised & we''re now in a decent position. We''ve had a bad run of injuries lately, & it has exposed our lack of backup. We are very much a team, one that relies on good cohesion all over the pitch, so with 2 or 3 of our first choices out we are not only hit by the drop in quality but the drop in levels of understanding between players. We''d have to be very unlucky for us not to go through a period when all our best players are fit (except for Ruddy), plus we''ll be playing some less dangerous teams than those of late.So I reckon we''ll be fine, but it''ll be tight, & it''s glaringly obvious that the addition of 2 or 3 quality players would help no end! ROBFLECK 134 Posted January 21, 2013 Agree Ron, but I just can''t see our Humble manager and board really taking some risk and actually making a move for a "top player"(very vague I know. A good player will be overpriced now, I know ... but we need one, we really need one or two! I don''t do the accounts payable for City, but there is a bucket load at stake, so I would really be gutted if they do not make a move... As I have read on other threads, where are our continental scouts? There are some good players in France, Belgium, Scandinavia,...that would not cost 10 millio quid!
