15 points before Xmas

Recommended Posts

Looks like we are one point ahead of that suggested total (see below) - though not one single prediction out of the first four corect, but as stated "points can come from almost anywhere"

We began a bit earlier last season by hauling ouselves up to 7th after 9 games, then stayed in the top ten (bar three times in 11th spot) over the next 22 games - a remarkable and consistent achievement.

So it''s now 7 points from the next six games to catch up to last season''s place and see if we can stay there

Current form suggest we can start at Goodison next week

ps worth noting that we picked up 11 points from those 5 games played last season

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aston Villa 3

Stoke City 1

Reading 3

Man Utd

Everton

Southampton 3

Sunderland 1

Swansea

Wigan 3

West Brom 1

that would put us where we were last season -

18 games 21 points

those listed are what I think are the most likely points, but as last Sat showed points can come from almost anywhere

Hurrah we are one point away from the target you gave us to achieve by xmas (otherwise we ''shouldnt be in this division''). So that''s all good news isnt it?

For the record...

After 12 games last season we were on 13 pts (in 11th position), although we then won the next game to go to 16 pts from 13.

Of interest, the teams that got relegated , after 12 games were;

Blackburn on 7 pts, Bolton on 9, Wolves on 11. Wigan were bottom on 6.

We were 9th on Christmas day on 21 pts. We lost to Spurs on 27th and dropped to 11th.

A binboy writes - "one point away from the target you gave us "

so let us have a look at that ''target''

"that would put us where we were last season -

18 games 21 points"

now even accepting that folk from suffolk are not the brightest you would think that they could work out that we are not one point away from 21

perhaps we can see how the old red faced shyster was able to fill his boots and leave the paupers bankrupt and Evans is now picking over the carcass, if this rustic dimwit is anything to go by

A rustic dimwit binboy (all other patronising put downs gratefully recieived) writes:

I was referring to the thread in which you stated that if we didn''t get to 15 points by xmas we shouldn''tbe in this league.

Of course we are (most probably) going to hit that mark, so we can all breath a sigh of relief that our self-appointed Binfinder General will not be magically turning into a naysaying non-believer come the festive season.

I think the expression is - ''when you are in a hole stop digging''  (lying won''t help you out either) -

"So it''s now 7 points from the next six games to catch up to last season''s place"

"that would put us where we were last season -

18 games 21 points"

As to the points, if we can''t achieve on and around that total by halfway then we should not really be in this league.

Perhaps it is the words ''Binfinder General'' that have really upset you, more than our rise up the table.

Still, with So''ton getting a win, Sunderland getting a win, Swansea getting a win and West Brom in 4th (after beating Chelsea) it maybe that those seven more points may have to start with a win at Goodison - and on our present form it wouldn''t seem too unlikely.

I think the hole digging is all your own work. Granted, the points total you set for us to be worthy of being a Premier League Club is in fact 18 not 15 points, so now we have another 4 points to gather before we are deemed by yourself as Premier League class.

My beef (and that of many others) with you sir, is your supremely arrogant and patronising tone. You will no doubt come back with another bizarre allusion to Binnerhood and I in turn will continue to draw attention to your unpleasantness.

No sir, I am a human being and as it happens a Norwich supporter of 40 years. However if it helps you maintain your strangely warped alternative universe, I am happy to be a Binner in it. Maybe Game Workshop can come up with a fantasy board game with lots of ugly little blue clad binmen models which you can sweep aside with as captain of the forces of good, clad in yellow amour and astride your mighty steed.

If it helps I can vouch for dpit - he used to go to Carra Rudd and to away matches with me all those 40 years ago.  But there again I don''t live in Norwich any more so I''m just another plastic fan....

My dear Harry had piles as well dear, his humour would also deteriorate when they were engorged, I`m sure there are many remedies that our fellow posters could come up with for you to try to relieve your tortured rectum!

"Take that you puny, stupid Binner. I smite you with the Staff of Mathematical Bamboozlement. Quiver at my power. I have Found you. You are a Binner. And you are stupid. I am here to cleanse this land of the likes of you. Pow! Smash!"

It is funny how a man who is over 40 years old is throwing a hissy fit because somebody bested him over the internet.

Yes, he "bested" him. Not "beasted" him...

My dear Harry was a true gent and a great judge of character, he would have disliked you intensely, he would however have had sympathy with you for your hemorrhoids.

Yay. Binner goldfish would be a great addition to our fantasy war game. Binfinder arrows of righteous doom aimed at us ''crapgoldifference fish'' swimming around in our pitiful barrel of unworthy binnerdom.
