Norwich bottom of our table

Currently we are at the bottom of a very close pack of eight clubs, Were we to have an extra 4 points we would (on points) be equal fourth. Take away four points and we would only drop one place, in fact double the loss (8 points) and we still only drop three places.

 

A few more performances like today and we could well start to climb through those seven teams above us, just need to start to lower the goal difference as well

We needed this sparkling run to sustain us, but we are getting a real gap from the bottom three and are on the threshold of the top ten.

Look at the players we have lost or rested. It''s outstanding.

what these stats show is placings in the table alone are not always an accurate picture, as groupings like this show

 

this time last season we had 20 points after 16 games, but were 9th (not 11th) - but most noticably we were 11 points adrift of 4th place ...... we are currently 4 points off 4th place

If this bunching up of a high number teams, seperated by a slack handful of points continues the rest of the season.  Each point earnt could easily equate to well over 1 million quid.

If it stays this way it will make for an interesting last few games, with the extra £800,000 per place in the table meaning a win could be worth £2m -£3m - and the possibility of European football as well

 

assume the club doesn''t follow some on here and try for a 17th place finish
