Bill 1,788 Posted December 8, 2012 Currently we are at the bottom of a very close pack of eight clubs, Were we to have an extra 4 points we would (on points) be equal fourth. Take away four points and we would only drop one place, in fact double the loss (8 points) and we still only drop three places. A few more performances like today and we could well start to climb through those seven teams above us, just need to start to lower the goal difference as well Tottenham 15 526West Brom 16 326Arsenal 161024Everton 15 623Swansea 16 523Stoke 16 223West Ham 15 222Norwich 16-

Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted December 8, 2012 We needed this sparkling run to sustain us, but we are getting a real gap from the bottom three and are on the threshold of the top ten.Look at the players we have lost or rested. It''s outstanding.
Bill 1,788 Posted December 8, 2012 threshold of the top four more like what these stats show is placings in the table alone are not always an accurate picture, as groupings like this show this time last season we had 20 points after 16 games, but were 9th (not 11th) - but most noticably we were 11 points adrift of 4th place ...... we are currently 4 points off 4th place Europe anyone ? Bill 1,788 Posted December 8, 2012 We could get there via the League Cup as well ps I would love to see the protests along Carrow Road as the ever so ''umble demand that the club concentrate on 17th place
nutty nigel 7,645 Posted December 8, 2012 I''d just like to take this opportunity to point out that we haven''t kept a clean sheet for four matches and conceded three in one half today.... [;)]
Bill 1,788 Posted December 8, 2012 Does that count for or against in the relegation mini league and how are we doing in that league as we appear to be doing ok in the real league ?
William Darby 0 Posted December 8, 2012 If this bunching up of a high number teams, seperated by a slack handful of points continues the rest of the season. Each point earnt could easily equate to well over 1 million quid.
Bill 1,788 Posted December 9, 2012 If it stays this way it will make for an interesting last few games, with the extra £800,000 per place in the table meaning a win could be worth £2m -£3m - and the possibility of European football as well assume the club doesn''t follow some on here and try for a 17th place finish
Xavi- Poor Mans Ian Crook 0 Posted December 9, 2012 Roeder took us to europe though, that one didn''t end up too well.
