On the way to the game rant

Recommended Posts

I am on the train up from Devon to London for today''s game. Loads of Chelsea "fans" on the train. All ultra cocky and sure they will win by at least 5 clear goals today.

1. I so want to get at least a point and stick it up the arrogant unfortunates.

2. Do any Chelsea "fans" come from London? The ones getting on the train in Devon were all Devon born.

3. The FA found that Chelsea effectively colluded with Mr Terry in seeking to hide his racism. The club should be penalised massively and Mr Terry given far more than the derisory 4 match ban he was given.

4. Those Norwich supporters, mainly in the Snakepit, who booed Mr Ferdinand at the QPR game, presumably in support of the miserable racist Mr Terry, should be ashamed of themselves.

Rant over

I''ll let you off as naive madam. I cannot imagine you would otherwise close your ears to our own small racist element.

Point 2: Yes thousands do. Particularly strong support in the South / South-West areas of London. I have personal knowledge of this!

Please dont call me Madam. It''s very irritating. I''m sure there are racists in the Snakepit but I dont think that''s why Ferdinand was booed. Players tend to get booed who have been in the news for some reason. I''m sure John Terry will be roundly booed when he comes to Carrow Rd on Boxing Day too.

Of Mr Chops. I pointed out that they were clearly Devon born. I did not go on to point out that I, on the other hand, was born and raised in Norfolk.

So was your next question "Can you tell that I don''t read things properly?"

Do I get a prize?

My humble apologies for calling you the M word. It was meant politely.

I am charmed that you think Ferdinand was booed for being in the news. It does make we Norwich fans seem rather quaint.

I tend to think that we, along with most clubs, have our small share of bigots and racists and I would love to see them disassociated from our beloved club.

I fear that I am about to enter the ground of a club with far more supporters in that category than we suffer so perhaps we should just count ourselves lucky.

RP[/quote]Possibly, though I''m interested to know how they are clearly Devon born. Are they necking cider and are their heads and hands slightly too big for their bodies?

Somebody posted some Justin Fashanu videos from the Anglia TV (I think) archives.  During an interview a philosophical Fashanu answered a question put to him about monkey noises he gets when he has the ball.  Fashanu said he didn''t believe that all the fans who did were out and out racists.  And they did it purely because they were doing what they could to put him off.I suppose I''m saying.  Booing Ferdinand from our more vocal sections of the crowd is just ''crowd mentality'' similar to what Justin was saying.  A couple boo an opposing player and the rest join in.I''m not being naive thinking we don''t have bigots etc at Norwich, but if we do they all wouldn''t happen be in the Snakepit as it were.
