If we could sign only one more player this summer who would you pick, what position and why.

Tough, but I would go for Jermain Defoe on a season long loan. Natural goalscorer who would love playing alongside Holty up front. Defensive midfielder came a close second.

Yeah I think I could go along with that. Think it would almost guarantee survival.

Naughton.

Quality at Right or Left Back, which we are seriously lacking in depth. Would almost certainly dislodge Martin from the first team as well imho, leaving a back line of Naughton, Turner, Bennett, Tierney.

Would feel a lot happier about our defence, but I''m not as worried about the current starters as some. Its just Naughton would be both an improvement and add depth to the squad, win win.

Fernando Torres on a season''s long loan...he would look great alongside Holt

Tough question...I think we really need another striker in, because other teams will have better figured Holt out this season and we need a second threat up front if he gets marked out of games. However, Naughton was arguably our best player last season, and long-term I think he would be a fantastic asset to the club - I think if we could ONLY sign one, it would be Kyle - and if that means we pay 6m+ for him, then it''ll be money well spent IMHO.

carrowroad.net just wrote that Naughton is considered surplus in Tottenham as AVB wants to make some room there.

So mayby this move would be even reality for us. He has speed, he has defencive ability, great crosser and can play both sides.

So he would be my choise as well and Vurnon Anita my second option.
