The fact that at least one or possibly two (depending on system) of Hoolahan, Pilkington, Snodgrass and Bennett will have to accept being on the bench on any given matchday is remarkable and a testament to the quality of the squad. Very exciting times. I think its a much nicer headache than deciding whether we want to play Alan Gow or Matty Pattison wide left.

I can''t imagine that Howson and Snodgrass or even Pilkington would see much of the bench to be honest. Or at least I feel that is who I would favor!

What I mean to say is, it would be a fair rotation - and I''d give them game time in the reserve matches so there''s no rustiness

Even if a couple do end up on loan or leaving, and without any further signings, yes I cant recall us having such a squad of depth and good quality like this one. When you look at the two sides put out against Celtic and add the new signings plus even the youngsters who didnt play it makes you realise how far we have come, and it is that squad strength that I believe will be our ace card this season.
