RvWs 4 year contract 0 Posted May 14, 2012 Amazing to think that if they get promoted, it''ll be the first time in their history that they''ve played in the 2nd tier!Would be amusing to see Sheff U fail as well [:D]
Bryangunnshairline 0 Posted May 14, 2012 I hope shef utd fall. I''m surrounded by shef utd and wed fans where I work and the utd fans are so negative. They have already made an excuse in ched Evans for not going up. They did the same with tevez for getting relegated from the prem. Their attitude is ,we are Shit in the play offs so what''s the point. Oh dear they have just scored. Gutted
K Lo 246 Posted May 14, 2012 I think Sheff U fans have a valid point re. Tevez. West Spam were as good as dead and buried but they fielded an inelligible player (or more, a player in an inelligible manner) who steered the Spammers out of trouble at the expense of Sheff U. Look what happened to the Spammers with no Tevez!Personally, I think that clubs like Sheff Wed & Sheff U are welcome in the higher leagues as they bring so many fans with them. I mean; Sheff Wed Vs Sheff U in the Prem or Wigan Vs Bolton (they''re 11 miles apart)?
Bryangunnshairline 0 Posted May 14, 2012 Rob green saves were as important to westham that season as tevez. As for them bringing so.many fans I agree with shef wed , they sell our away allocation every time. Shef utds is always a poor turn out for the size of the city. Yes their Derby match would sell out as it does in league one but then so.would postman rd v us.
shefcanary 2,955 Posted May 14, 2012 Happy for my Blades mates that they still have a chance of getting promoted - but bloody hell watching that was dire - just think we were playing at that level only just over two years ago. Comparing our match yesterday to this - what a difference - what a long way we have come. Have to hope the Blades win the play-off for another reason - it will mean Huddersfield will have to cash in on Jordan Rhodes - got to be worth a punt! Indy_Bones 444 Posted May 15, 2012 Sheff Utd getting relegated had f**k all to do with Tevez and I''m sick of the damn suggestion. You play 38 games - not 1, and if they''d performed better in the other 37 games then they''d have stayed up, and Tevez wouldn''t have been used as a scapegoat for a poor season.I don''t get how fans can pick out a single incident, and use this to define their entire season - "We should have had a pen in the second game against Man Utd - if we''d have got it we''d have stayed up", "Toure should have been sent off against us before Xmas - this cost us the game and we were relegated", "Our first choice team got food poisoning which cost us the next game and we were relegated".You could go on all day with crap like this, but EVERY team gets some decisions against them, that''s why relegation is based over a season and not a single game, and if you''re not good enough overall - you get relegated.Carlos Tevez, a dubious pen decision, an unfair sending off or a dodgy curry cannot be blamed in isolation for a club going down, and the suggestion they can is ludicrous, and frankly I think Warnock managed to mug the FA and West Ham off over the Tevez situation.
