Spurs goal tonight

Recommended Posts

Just seen a clear cut goal denied by a shocking decision by a linesman and ref. Hopeful lob, Carroll mis-cuaght it, clearly went a yard over the line. Nothing given. At all.

Now either this really is match rigging (allegedly) or the best case I have ever seen for video replays. There have been missed penalties (Hucks'' just one example) this weekend and last. Surely this being the 21st century and the age of mulitple camera angles this should be something that can only benefit the game.

Anyone else see it? Bring on the video replays I say.

Good point but you have to ask when the video would get checked.

I mean take the Huck penalty last week. The ref didn''t see it so presumably play would carry on and the goal kick would be taken. Does the ref then stop the game and say "actually lads it''s a penalty." I''d love to see videos used but don''t see hoe they can be.

Why do top six sides always get the benefit of the doubt over every other team?

How anyone could not give that as a goal is beyond me, what was the linesman looking at?

Tony Cottee said ''i am 50 yards away and even i could see it was a yard over''.

Maybe the big clubs should start the season with a 9 point deficit just to even things up a bit!

I have to agree with Tilt here. How or who is going to stop the match when play has carried on? W£e are going to end up with players insisting that the ref consults the video all the time and play will be continuously interrupted.

Another point tho how come players can be banned for offences that the video sees but the ref didnt, yet results cant be changed afterwards. You could argue that the game should be revised as a 1-0 win to Spurs.
