Walks on Water

Recommended Posts

As the morning progresses I find myself getting more and more nervous, to such an extent that

I have just HAD to post a thread despite saying I would not!!

Tonight for me will define if PL is the “second coming”.

At home, lower opposition, Sky cameras and second place in the offing.

On previous occasions this would point to disappointment and a LOSS

If PL can overcome our inherent state and get a positive result I will at last believe in miracles!.

Now has anyone got a cure for these “persistent” butterflies?

Not sure if it''s a cure Butler but I always reach for PERPECTIVE, that old stalwart when EMOTION wants to take control of us.

I hope we win, I think we''ll win, but if we don''t let''s remember that teams placed like Bristol City are under considerably less pressure than we are on the night and, regardless of what''s occurring on the pitch, our boys are undoubtedly out there giving it their all. Also, for additional perspective, quite a few posters on this forum can''t help pointing out that we should have gone that extra step to secure another striker to see us over the line as many of our rivals have splashed the cash. Those posters don''t come back quite as quickly to point out that those same rivals are dropping points like hotcakes.

If none of that adds perspective then let''s just think of Japan.

Nice to see you posting again Butler [:)]

I am very nervous too, a game we need to win, Sky cameras and a tense Carrow Road sounds like a recipe for disaster yet I''m sure it will be ok on the night.

Welcome back Butler. It''s always good to see a respected poster come back.

I fully agree I too am nervous about tonight. A colleague of mine who supports Leicester and saw the game last week seems convinced that we will walk tonight''s game and cna''t understand why I''m so nervous. I guess it takes being an Norwich supporter to really understand why games like this make us so nervous.

Welcome back Buttles and about bloody time too. [8o|]  Now we can get some serious squit going...[:D]

My gut feeling for each match over the last couple of months or so have been wrong most of the time, and my instincts tell me we will struggle tonight, therefore I''m confidently predictimg we will win 2-0.

That should cover it...........
