Definate Promotion

Recommended Posts

13 wins and we will definately get auto promotion, especially in this league where n0-one is really racing away with it. 90 plus will win you the league but i think 84 85 points will be enough for 2nd this year!

Personally I think it will 70+ for a play off spot, 80+ for auto and I don''t think you''d need much more than 85 to secure top spot, seeing how tight the league is this year.

I agree with Notts regarding the likely points tally for 1st and 2nd, but, based on the season so far I think 6th place will need around 77 points and there won''t be much between 6th and 2nd in the league.

Isn''t there a site where you can look at a league table at a certain point in time. Would be good to see how teams in this league last season were looking at the same stage as we are now.

Im sure I have seen them somewhere but cant be 100% sure

Cheers NC.

Interesting reading. The one thing that stood out for me was our goal difference. It really needs to improve if we are to have a real shot at top 2. Our problem seems to have been letting goals in at home. 20 is as bad as some of the bottom teams in the league. We need to try and make an improvement in that area if we can.

[quote user="Planet X"]Our remaining games, with my results we really ought to acheive if looking for pomotion in top 2

I hope you are right, but I have to say that your prediction is based on a very much better run of home form (winning all games) than we have managed to date. In order to achieve this, as has already been pointed out, we would need to stop giving away daft goals so we have to chase home games. If we could do that, our remaining home games do have a generally winnable look to most of them.
