......and Smith must score. 1,596 Posted January 8, 2011 [quote user="YankeeCanary"]Well, we know Neil has been given his lines relative to "the situation." YankeeCanary 0 Posted January 8, 2011 Come on Mr. Adams....less than 24 hours ago a lot of Norwich fans were wondering what in tarnation caused Mr. Lambert to refrain from making a clear cut statement that he was not going anywhere and would be staying with Norwich. Christine makes a point on her disappointment that this was not handled in an appropriate manner, and Neil''s first reaction is to deflect that it had no bearing on today''s game. Why not use this forum to invite others to discuss their opinion on the subject. He has been given his lines. That much is clear.

Drazen Muzinic 1,502 Posted January 8, 2011 My favourite today was the guy who sent in the text suggesting the team should''ve been shown a DVD of the ''59 cup run before today''s game.Maybe they were - they played like a bunch of Division Three South players. However, that team in 1959 looked like anything but a Division Three South team, so I take it you''re not old enough to have seen them Drazen? You would have been impressed. Bill 1,788 Posted January 8, 2011 A cup run where we were the plucky under dogs and a cup run when the FA Cup meant something. If there was anything that could be used to spur the players on it should have been the threat of locking them in the dressing room for an hour after the game (if they lost) ............. forcing them to sit and listen to Canary call. That''s what I was really driving at.I grew up with stories of the ''59ers and fully respect what they did and will NEVER disrespect them for their part in the club''s heritage.
