silver fox 0 Posted February 4, 2005 Have just heard from a colleague in Croydon that Jason Shackell has been watched in the reserves recently by several scouts from London Premiership sides. He believes that if City fail to stay up then one of the London clubs will come in with a bid in the summer. Has anyone else heard anything on the subject? NavMan 0 Posted February 4, 2005 No - must admit I have not heard this one but it would not surprise me if that happened - just think he could then be a blinding success on someone elses ground whilst we still have our blinding defence trying to get us out of the fizzy league. DumbleDelia is Magic 0 Posted February 4, 2005 I haven''t heard anything about a move but I will be pretty p***ed off if he leaves without being given a go at Norwich. From what I''ve seen and heard of him he looks like a real talent. It''d be a shame to let him go to waste
yoda 0 Posted February 4, 2005 no but i wouldnt be surprised if he left . he must be right cheesed off . imo he should be in the side no question , and by now he would have had plenty of games under his belt . still at least weve got doherty instead ! Aviator 0 Posted February 4, 2005 He is already pissed off. I took the kids to Colney recently for the autographs etc, (a bit of a treat for me as well if I''m honest) and I asked him when he was going to get a game. His reply in a peed off, what the f is going on sort of tone was "you tell me!" He could easily have added "...''cause I don''t know what I have to do to get one, and if I don''t, I may look elsewhere".

He was just a bit shy but he was a good player which great height for central defender!!! HE was just a kid and you can''t blame his shyness to the fans!!! Northern Canary 0 Posted February 5, 2005 i dont think he will go anywhere. He looks promising and i think the time will come (with the worst defensive record that we have) that Worthy will have to give him a chance.
3pmkickoff 0 Posted February 5, 2005 Just saw this on Sky SportsReports today confirm Spurs interest in young Norwich City Defender Jason Shackell. Martin Jol is a keen admirer of the under 25 stopper who''s over six foot and has a pulse.Jol said "We won''t stop until we''ve signed every young defender in europe, Shackell fits that mould."When asked, Nigel Worthington confirmed that Shackell was considering his Carrow Rd future after being harrased at the training ground by someone armed with autograph book and pen. Shackell added "I''ve just been given a three year contract which shows the club have me pegged as a good prospect and I''ll get my chance when it comes". Afterwards he could have easily added "it''s not fair, I''ve got more hair than both Gary and Craig!"More to follow
