Sometime back in the eighties West Ham v Norwich was cancelled (can''t remember why, can''t be bothered to look it up) but we got to see Arsenal (standing in the clock end) and saw Charlie Nicholas score. So not a bad day after all.

[/quote]Well - I think people who gave up their bank holiday to leave Norwich at 9am (or earlier), only to be told a few minutes before kick off that the match is off, and get back to Norwich at about 8pm having wasted an entire bank holiday have a right to feel a bit narked though, don''t you?

Yes, Wiz, for those at Carrow Rd that night it was a little irritating especially as the fog had gone again barely 30 minutes after the game had been abandoned.That said we had two goals in the bank from the first leg and as it was at home most people hadn''t endured a journey of several hours to get to Walsall .Especially those brave enough to endure the torture that is Club Cabbage.In my case perhaps on that foggy night I should have been doubly irritated, for, arriving at Stamford bridge 15 minutes late for the first leg I discovered that  the evening''s scoring had already been completed.Bummer.....
