Brum Uni Canary 0 Posted January 1, 2005 You are a joke! Apart from Jon Stead, when was the last time a League 2/3rd Division player went straight into a Premiership first team? The difference in class between L2 and the Prem is too huge for a keeper to walk into the no.1 jersey - he would get hammered. Being a Yeovil fan, Chris Weale is a great keeper, there is no-one better in League 2. Yeovil are progressing and are on song from promotion to League 1 this season so Weale should stay. He trained with West Ham last season and Fulham sent a scout to look at him v Leyton Orient (A). IMO Weale is Championship quality, he needs experience at that level to see whether he''s up to playing in the Premiership. Robert Green has proved himself to be a quality keeper in the Premiership and if he goes it would be a great loss to Norwich. As for Gallagher and Ward,IMO they''re be OK as a temporary replacement, I''ve heard good things about Joe Lewis, Weale rose through the ranks had Norwich and I hope Lewis does the same at Norwich.
