Who could have possibly thought it would be one of the matches of the Carling Cup 2nd round to watch Norwich go up against Premiership opposition, the week after we got stuffed 7-1 at home?

I wouldn''t be surprised if it was chosen on the basis that we beat Wigan the last game of our preseason. The selection team or person probably saw the draw and thought "Norwich beat Wigan in the pre-season so there''s a good chance of an upset." I''m sure that''s what a few of our fans thought when the draw came up. I know I did.

Thing is though the draw was made after the 7-1 so that we beat Wigan who we were fitter than (as further through our pre season) probably had nothing to do with it. I can see your view point though.
