Account Closed 0 Posted July 11, 2009 True or False?Certainly true in Peter Grants era- losing to unknown lower league foreignteams. So who can recall GR s results or Worthy''s in the poor period.Maybe they reflect on the true mood and spirit within the camp as opposed tothe compulsory mealy mouthed party line.No deliberate intention to cause anxiety before todays game but more to hopefully seed feelings of optimism. James Kent 0 Posted July 11, 2009 FalseYou can get very little from pre-season games.
Bongo Boy 0 Posted July 11, 2009 False!.. I watched a certain Peter Thorne score some cracking goals in pre seasons not that long ago.....The rest they say is history hehehe
Paul Spector 0 Posted July 11, 2009 True to some extent - scoring goals and playing well might actually give them at least some confidence to play with next season until we all start getting on their backs again.
Paul Spector 0 Posted July 11, 2009 On the other hand I seem to remember Spurs having a fantastic pre-season last year, and then never really took that into the start of the season! I don''t think there is any magic formula really - we just have to do everything that we can to put ourselves in the best possible position to win games come the new season. Sing Up The South Stand 0 Posted July 12, 2009 Really, whether you have a good pre-season or not depends on whether you have a good start once the season has started..... Regardless of pre-season results.
Mister Chops 7 Posted July 14, 2009 Law #13 of the Pink Un message board:If you beat a team in a friendly, it doesn''t prove anything as these games are meaningless. If you draw, or lose to, a team in a friendly, it proves that Norwich City are ruined and destined for relegation.
