Michael Bates 12 Posted June 22, 2009 Apparently on Gunn''s radar with his club Viking ready to let him go. From what his stats say, he seems tall and powerful with a half decent scoring record but thats at lower-classed foreign leagues. Not sure what to think of this one. Anyone here from Norwich who follows us or has an extensive knowledge on clubs there??? Any good?

Brann 5-0 to climb two places in the table and thus escape relegation on goal difference."If only we had him at Charlton!
Ole 0 Posted June 22, 2009 He can be good sometimes..., but this season hasn''t been good for him (only two goals so far I think, and not regular for Viking). To be honest, there are other strikers in the Norwegian league I would prefer. Even David Nielsen (who plays for Brann) is better than Ijeh. Not my favorite player... but he will for sure improve our current squad.
Ole 0 Posted June 22, 2009 "lower class foreign leagues"???So you really think League One is better than Norwegian, Swedish and Danish league? If he can score on that level, I''m quite sure he can score in League One. Wake up!

Wake up![/quote]Yeah i put that into the wrong kind of context there. What i was really meaning was his previous teams didn''t seem anything of any good standard and therefore suggesting their leagues not being exactly incredibly competitive. And for the Norweigan league, i rekon if you put all of the teams in their premierleague into league one. You would find top 4-5 teams dominate, the rest look average. Ourselves, Leeds, Charlton i''d like to think are better than the bottom half of the Norwiegan Premierleague. Maybe wrong.

Henrik 0 Posted June 23, 2009 I´m seen him play a couple of times. Could be useful but i´m not his biggest fan. Here are some goals from his time in Malmö FF : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQXCf2syecY
Soldier on 290 Posted June 23, 2009 Is there a link to this story? Just wondered where rumours of this signing had surfaced from.Is Gunn in Norway then as others had suggested he was on a family holiday in Crete
Ole 0 Posted June 23, 2009 Stavanger Aftenblad, the local paper where Viking is from, says that Ijeh and four other can discuss terms with other clubs within 8 days...However, they are not free to leave for nothing until the Norwegian season is over (end of October I guess).link: http://fotball.aftenbladet.no/eliteserien/article142823.eceIf you ask me, I would rather have the three other players; Nicht (goalkeeper), Pereira (ex Norway international, can play both left and right back), Soma (ex West Ham and ex Norway int., full back - a bit slow maybe). There was some speculations some years ago regarding Ijeh''s age. Some people said he was in his late 30s. But Ijeh refused this, and he says he is 32.... By the way, Ijeh has not scored many goals since 2007.
