Wonder if Shearer will canvas for the job as BG did.

kennyfoggo 0 Posted May 26, 2009 This was posted on the 29/4/09 on another site Like Us, Newcastleput absolute blind trust in a legend to get them out of trouble, andit’s looking like they’re both going to fail, Shearer so far hasn''t wona game in his time at the helm, while Gunn has had a great little runof games, when hopes really started to raise, but it couldn''t bemaintained. Bryan Gunn, like Shearer, had no managementexperience, and like Shearer it’s showing at just the wrong time, whydo clubs treat ageing heroes like messiahs ? Both sets of supportersdeserve better, their clubs need to be run better at the top and haveproper full-time managers appointed by a board that''s not one of theirstarry-eyed by their idols. At the time I said that I applaudedour board for appointing a Norwich man through and through, but didhave grave concerns about the gaping lack of experience, sadly over thelast few weeks this has raised it''s ugly head time and time again. I don''t blame Gunny for the mess that was down to the last regime, buithe did step up to line and accept the job, so must take his share ofthe criticism, however I still maintain even some more experiencedmanagers may well have struggled. But you have to ask massivequestions of both Boards, why they chose to appoint people withabsolutely no managerial expereince whatsoever to take over the helmduring such a vital time, and with so much at stake. It must be thatneither Boardroom has anybody of note with a little football knowledge,it is yet another glaring mistake made by both clubs; and again thelong suffering fans, have to suffer for longer.
