Syteanric 1 Posted March 11, 2009 we are still celebrating last nights game (i only made it for the 2nd half.. glad i did though.. what a half!) but saturdays game against Plymouth is probably our BIGGEST game of the last 50 years...Cardiff are a promotion chasing side and we beat them, just like we beat wolves and drew with Brum... on our day we can raise our game and beat the best sides in thi division... we have proven that time and time again...However, its the blackpools, southamptons and nottingham forests of the league, the whipping boys, that we roll over and die too.... city have always done it this way.. in the glory days wins over Man utd, Liverpool and Everton would then be followed with losses to Oldham, West Ham or Fulham....Saturdays game is massive.. Plymouth have had some decent results the last few weeks but aren''t out of the woods yet.. we havent won 2 games on the bounce since we beat wolves then Donny earlier in the year...if we dont win and other sides around us pick up points then all of last nights work is undone just like that, and it will be a massive metaphorical punch in the stomach for the entire squad.....the last few matches are going to be hair raising for sure! take a clean change of underwear to every game.....jas :)

rjwc22 0 Posted March 11, 2009 Bigger than the play off final?Nothing is determined on Saturday. A win will be great but will not ensure survival just as a loss will not guarantee relegation.Still a big game though...
......and Smith must score. 1,600 Posted March 11, 2009 I think the most inportant thing for Saturday is that we don''t lose.On paper Saturday is by our best chance for two wins on the spin but knowing dear old Norwich there''s every chance we''ll blow it. I thought before the Cardiff game that if we had to take one win out of the Cardiff and Plymouth games then beating Plymouth would be best. Lets hope we can get at least a point at the weekend.Of course what''ll probably happen is we''ll beat Birmingham and Reading but lose against Plymouth and Charlton.Supporting City is never an easy option..... canarytom 0 Posted March 11, 2009 You are clearly getting too excited. The last game in the premiership was more important than saturday''s game. We won''t go down if we lose so how is it the most important game in 50 years? The playoff final was also more important. I agree it is an important game but there have been loads more in the last 50 years that were more important. That game 51 years ago was super important so well done in picking 50 years as your time frame!

Wembley_Canary 0 Posted March 11, 2009 A little bit over the top there Jas, but I see where your coming from as saturdays game is one of the biggest games for this club in recent history, we lose that and were more a less dead and buried given that we have Birmingham away straight after.
