PhatCanary 0 Posted January 22, 2009 Just thought i''d mention after all the BS of the Gunn appointment,we still haven''t signed a single player in the transfer Window, and i don''t mean another bloody loan,i mean actual real Norwich players on contracts, not wishing to burst the bubble but we are desperate for new players and people seem to think that Gunny has got some sort of war chest to turn the club around. We are still skint and need at least four players, how will the new Messiah, the one they call Gunny going to manage that?
Houston Canary 0 Posted January 22, 2009 All that really needs to be done for now is to use the players we have correctly, something thel ast 2 managers refused to do. If we can get a striker or CB, great, but we have the talent now to be further up the table. It is not bad luck that we are where we are, it is bad management. Use schemes that take advantage of player strengths, rather than handcuffing them into some roll they are not comfortable with, and we will be fine. Apparently, Gunn did that vs Barnsley, and it worked out nicely.
Hoolahans Ped 0 Posted January 22, 2009 I think anybody we do get in, in the remaining period, will be loans. Maybe a few young man u stars of the future? I think we''ll leave the spending until the summer.

We have the smallest squad in the league and imo if we don''t sign any players we will be making things hard for ourselves.
jetstream 0 Posted January 22, 2009 >All that really needs to be done for now is to use the players we have correctly,Not true - we desperately need another centre halfif Grounds gets injured or recalled then we are stuffed (again).Same if Doc gets injured. jedi 0 Posted January 22, 2009 injuries permitting our squad is strong enough to stay up!
Bury Yellow 2 Posted January 22, 2009 I''m afraid that the team Gunny put out against Barnsley will lose more than they win.Not Gunny''s fault but we haven''t got the right balance of players available and has just been said we have such a small squad. It is therefore essential that we get in at least two more bodies preferably three - target man, right back and central defender.
