Delia, When Do I Start??

MANAGER SPECIFICATION!

Recommended Posts

we are all norwich fans (except a few) and want our club to succeed, but to do that we need to right manager! So as norwich fans we need to make a specification which will help the board choose the perfect man for the job!

What do we need in a manager?

-wants to bring in the academy boys''

-wants to achieve great things

-experiance with small amount of money

-good track record

-

-

-

add more to the list and eventually we will get our perfect gaffer!

Can we have a nice one this time ?  Someone who doesn''t shout quite so much.  Or do 5 minute stand up routines to the press about our golden goal striker not being able to hit a barn door with a cows arse while on a banjo.  Or alienate half of our apparently emotionally fragile players.Oh, and they''re not allowed to use the phrase "work rate" in any press conferences.  That gets on peoples'' nerves.

For  me  good  man  management  skills, and  the  willingness  to  try  youth  and  a  punt  on  the  lower  leagues. The  biggest  factor  though  has  to  be  a  track  record  of  winning  games  and  preferably  getting  teams  promoted  evn  if  it  is  in  the  lower  divisions

I would like someone

with man management skills

with managrment experience

with past or existing connections to Norwich

who isn''t arrogant

who appreciates our large loyal fan base

who will get us results

is assertive but can also being compassionate when a player needs an arm round his shoulder rather than a bollocking

who will think before he speaks

For me a new manager of Norwich needs two things

1) able to develop and motivate imperfect players - it''s no good keep bringing in prem players we are only ever going to get other peoples kids on loan or players on their way down. We need players either from our youth team or young players from our own divison or lower who are hungry and want to improve. If we have the resources to sign young players permanently from the prem then great but i cant see it and our own youth team is currently standing up pretty well against prem youth opposition.

2) Someone who can get the 25,000 fans behind the team and not alienate them. Our attendances are the one asset we have that most of the others teams in our division would kill for if he can get them consistently behind the team on match days then it would be like a 12th man.
