silver fox 0 Posted October 20, 2008 I can only assume after yet again playing Russell in a striker''s role in preference to Lupoli, and not even having Cureton or Koroma on the bench against Bristol, that Roeder has no confidence in any of the strikers at the club. I know he isn''t a loanee who we are paying mega bucks for, but perhaps we could give young Kris Renton a run out against Wolves; after all he can''t do any worse than the current so called strikers. Syteanric 1 Posted October 20, 2008 what have we got to lose? if he plays well and scores a goal then it makes a point to the other strikers... even if he desont score his perfromances could force Roeders handjas :)

Croydon Canary 0 Posted October 20, 2008 Absolutley agree,I,d rather Norwich were toothless crap with our own players than with a bunch of expensive loanees.I just instinctively know that if Roader is still in charge at the end of the season City will be relegated. So what the hell? Michael Owen carried some clout. Breaking all youth records both at domestic and international level. We, im afraid have not got anyone like that. Indeed you have to take a risk but these are delicate times. It would be too easy for him to follow in the steps of the Jarvis''s, Henderson, Eagle etc.... When you think back to Mike Walkers second stint at the club, what''s happend to young players that he had no choice but to play i.e Che Wilson, Shaun Carey, Adrian Coote, Adrian Forbes.I''m not saying we shouldn''t make better use of the young players at the club, but if possible I think it would be better to blood them towards the end of the season if we are safely in mid-table. Huh?! 0 Posted October 21, 2008 I agree - I think young Kris should be given a chance. If he is a strong lad he will take critisism on his shoulders and improve. If you never give youngsters a chance they''ll go! I remember Greeno being thrown in at the deep end when he was young and look how he turned out....Give it a go!
