On the ball city

where is that kitty?

the man at the gate

the tower gate

will he reveal his cards?

or

will he keep them close to chest?

delia the cook of carrow

is she really that shallow?

the loans, the moans, the sighs, the groans,

the fans, searching endlessly, endlessly searching

for the answer, the saviour, the new king,

a new hope, or, a false dawn?

when will the fans find out the cards that have been shown?

Roeders troops go marching on,

despite all this they still sing as one,

Norwich City is in my blood, my soul,

The feeling is like no other when we score a goal.

there once was a man called glenn roeder

whos favourite band was toploader

he`d have the team up all night

dancing in the moonlight

getting p1ssed up on whiskey and soda
Here you go Pete.  This is my best ever ever ever poem and if you don''t publish it, or even like it, you''re mental.

Norwich - A Right Fine CityOh Norwich, that''s a right fine little cityIf you live elsewhere I have got only pityThere''s so much to do and so much to seeI''ll give you a quick tour, here, mardle with me -See this? Once that was just all earth and soilThen some clever old bugger built Theatre RoyalAnd just over the road is Norwich''s ForumThey''ve got lots of books there, I know ''cos I saw ''em.Then past City Hall to the Bridewell HillDon''t sniff the tramps, they will make you feel illAnd down the hill to our fine Jarrolds StoreThat''s just like the market, but that cost a bit more. Then over the road there''s that lovely old ThornsPerfect for those people with houses or lawns. Then up on the hill our proud castle standsLike a big bit of lego someone built with their handsAnd the cathedral spire as tall as the skyIf you go there then heaven awaits when you dieOh Norwich fine Norwich the fairest of allWhat a shame about f**k ugly Chapelfield Mall.Mister ChopsNorwich Poet Laureate
Sorry Chops, I''ve already sent the page. A fine effort though.
To be honest, it was probably too good for the paper anyway.  Maybe if Archant ever branch out into book publishing and want to put together a classic Poetry anthology, this could be the final poem in that.
