TheCardinal 0 Posted June 30, 2008 I would take a look at Chris Iwelumo of Charlton. I reckon he could be got for £1mil and is an outstanding target man.

InLambertWeTrust! 0 Posted June 30, 2008 Iwan Roberts hated wolves with a passion and was a fantastic big striker/target man... somebody in his mould[:)]
Syteanric 1 Posted June 30, 2008 a target man encourages the hoof, aimless punt up field for the plodder to chase...no thanks.. see Spain at the euros.. small time, fast nippy passing football.. the targetman is a marginal figure in the game todayjas :)

TOSH!What about Drogba, one of Chelsea''s most influential players? Abilitywith his feet yes, but also able to receive the long ball and hold itup and bring others into play. Torres is able to do the same, andat international level Crouch has occasionally been deployed in thisway to great effect. A target man doesn''t have to be a talldonkey just there to aim punts at, used correctly they can be veryeffective. By your logic, Paul McVeigh should be in the Prem bynow...[;)]

My friend delivers sachets of condiments to the caterers at Carrow Rd and he was there earlier today and he overheard the cleaners talking to the shop assistants and saying that if Cullum does takeover then Neil Doncaster will probably be a likely target for the boot. I guess this means he''d be playing up front.
