Tom NCFC 0 Posted May 15, 2008 I ask because I am going to ring up the Lincolnshire FA tomorrow to acquire about doing it. I''ve always been interested in coaching or having a job in football so instead of sitting in front of Football Manager I decided to look into courses that the FA offer. As its open to anybody over 16 and only £75, I decided to take it a long while back. I was just wondering if anyone has done it and their general opionons of it.Also if anyone has done the online course ''Psychology for Soccer Level 1'', how was that? Thanks everyone

Philipo87 0 Posted May 15, 2008 Its one of the easiest course you can do! All you need to do is turn up and you will pretty much pass it to be honest!!!!
Yellow Rages 0 Posted May 15, 2008 Tom,This link might be of interest http://falearning.thefa.com/docent/bin/docentisapi.dll/lms,thunder,2151/?CMD=LOGIN&file=frameset.jsmI am told though that to progress to the higher qualifications and ultimately a pro licence, the FA are a bit funny about who they allow to take them. Basically, if you are not an ex pro, you won''t be allowed to progress too far.

Polar 0 Posted May 16, 2008 I haven''t done the football but i''ve done the swimming, and UK sport moved last year to bring the teaching and coaching levels together in equal difficulty and standard etc, all courses across all disciplines have various elements that are the same, e.g. child protection. i''d imagine its like swimming then, if you have a goos knowledge of the sport you will breeze it. TheCardinal 0 Posted May 16, 2008 I''d be quite interested to do this; can it be done at Norfolk FA?
E I E I E I O 0 Posted May 17, 2008 Level One is well basic but will give you some ideas to work on!Level 2 is more the tactics of the game, Level 1 is all about children and an attendance course to be honest!
Baldyboy 1 Posted May 17, 2008 Yes ive done it. it isnt too difficult but you need to be part of a club really. you also have to do a child protection workshop too and be crb checked.
