BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted March 24, 2008 From Newcastle Utd Mad website:The Toon boss says Ameobi still has a part to play in Newcastle United''s relegation battle, but he also adds the striker is not doing himself any favours with his attitude.Keegan has warned his 26-year-old striker that he must roll up his sleeves and put the effort in. Apparently we''ve already taken one problem off Newcastle''s hands this year. Would Ameobi perform for Glenn consistently? OTBC
Mister Chops 7 Posted March 24, 2008 It must be hard to keep a good attitude when you''re behind Owen, Viduka and Martins in the pecking order, but this is the same problem that Roeder apparently sees in Martin/Spillane i.e. they don''t work hard enough. Interesting that Roeder''s preferred striking target (if we believe the rumours) has a dose of this about him also.
king canary 8,751 Posted March 24, 2008 Roeder is probobly so keen just cos Ameobi played his best football under him, maybe he thinks he can get the best out of him.

And we all know that Roedy is really a *prem manager* without the time of day for the likes of a Jamie Cureton who has to be tolerated for the timebeing, although of course he''ll never play in the *Prem* - not under Roedy anyway.Seems Roeder''s looking for more recuits like himself - ex-*prem* with attitude.OTBC

king canary 8,751 Posted March 25, 2008 Not a worshipper bunny, just someone who Roeder got the best out of, as he has most of norwich''s squad since he arrived.
Tumbleweed 106 Posted March 25, 2008 if GR is looking to get back into the prem then surely he should be looking at prem type players who may have more chance of achieving it?
Time to go Delia 0 Posted March 25, 2008 Ameobi could be going to Ipswich on loan this week apparently he is their next target if they cannot land Healy .
