In Dubious Battle 0 Posted August 9, 2007 Ever since iwan left it has felt like the club has beem on a constant slide down, why not get him back and give him martin hunter''s old job? we have been lacking people who genuinly care about ncfc for years now, he gave 100% every time he played for us if just a little of that can rub of onto the players it''s surely a good thing? SwindonNCFC 0 Posted August 9, 2007 Just re-reading his autobiography (it''s a fantastic book if you''re feeling nostalgic and haven''t already read it) and there was a lot in there about coaching once he finished playing.I''m not sure if he''s got the badges yet though but possibly a role like Gunny''s until he did.He was extremely well respected by the fans and one of the only players I know who could have an absolute mare and still have his name sung out by the fans.Mind you if we start wheeling in the old stagers does it look like Grant''s trying to paper over the cracks by bringing in those whom some of us see as a link to better times? canaryvet 0 Posted August 9, 2007 Iwans good, but I think Malky going at the same time was as important-and he has been coaching at Watford (AB is not a bad coach to learn from)
In Gunns Hands We Trust! 0 Posted August 9, 2007 It would be great to have him back involved at the club.Is there any rumours about a new first team coach?

It is interesting that although Iwan has as much (if not more) coaching experience as Malky, people seem to be completely disinterested in him!
ca 1 Posted August 9, 2007 Apparently Malkey has been seen down here several times with Granty in the past month, admittedly at Church, but just wonder if hes going to be our new coach??

alex_ncfc 686 Posted August 9, 2007 Why oh why are we so obsessed with bringing back former players, be it on or off the field? There are much, much better options for coaches out there. We don''t need, lets face it, a rookie.Sometimes you just have to let go...
