The Great Drinkell 51 Posted August 16, 2006 I have just come back from my summer hols so haven''t seen any of the games this season. All the paper reports I have read have praised our play to the hilt - even in defeat at Leeds. - Can you please confirm - as I don''t believe all i read in the news paper - that the performances have been good and the addition of Croft has been a instant success. I also read that the atmosphere was good too - this is the bit I didn''t believe especially after 54mins of the Luton game?? Looking forward to Barnsley at home so I can make up my own mind.OTBC
Huddy 0 Posted August 16, 2006 It is true. I was a shocked as anyone to see our wonderful passing game, the great aartmosphere, the just like watching brazil chants, the brilliants of croft, and the praise from the media (bar Tony cotteee and alan macanaly) The list just runs on and on, its so positive. TwoSheds 0 Posted August 16, 2006 Fairly true, but you could hear a pin drop during most of the game until we scored our first goal.
JJ 0 Posted August 16, 2006 There is definitely a better vibe although many are still reserving judgement (i haven''t heard any "Worthington''s Green and Yellow Army yet - unless others say otherwise). There is still a long way to go but the atmosphere feels a tad better than last August.Vast improvement by the likes of Etuhu and Colin. Croft so far looks a steal. Promising signs that we can get better with a bit of luck, with few injuries and some inspired transfer deals (!)
