daisy 145 Posted October 18, 2022 How can you play a team like Luton at home and not have a recognised striker on the bench. I know we are short of those but there must be one in the u23 squad that could do a job, or is our great academy a waste of time.
Google Bot 3,936 Posted October 18, 2022 We have got Hugill.
Feedthewolf 5,885 Posted October 18, 2022 1 minute ago, Google Bot said: We have got Hugill. And also Tom Dickson-Peters and Tyrese Omotoye in the U21s, both of whom have been in the first team before (admittedly in an injury crisis), as well as Abu Kamara who has scored a lot of goals for the second string. When Sarge came off injured, that essentially doomed Teemu to play a full 90 chasing shadows. I am far from a fan of Hugill, but he should've been on the bench tonight; in my opinion ahead of Sinani, who is an honest lad but it clearly shows that he cut his teeth in the Luxembourg 'premier' league. daly 552 Posted October 18, 2022 Yes great move at the end to take off probably the only likely scorer and replace him with a defensive midfielder
TheBaldOne66 768 Posted October 19, 2022 It’s ridiculous that Smith constantly puts 5 midfielders, 1defender and 1 keeper on the bench but no striker! Surely it would make sense to have Hugill on the bench as if the strikers we play get injured who would play up front? Just another in a baffling set of team selections from our failing coach 😡
