cambridgeshire canary 7,797 Posted October 15, 2022 Who can forget Sargent turning into Zlatan and giving us hopes of survival? Might have ended up being false hope but still what a match this was
Canaries north 155 Posted October 15, 2022 I will still say the first Sargent goal was one of the worst goals I have ever seen. The second goal was class. First goal was a terrible ball to Pukki, terrible defending by Watford, terrible ball behind Sargent and a chuck the boot out and hope for the best. The second goal was a good ball into the channel, beautiful cross with a powerful pinpoint header. I know a lot of people don't like this but it's true. The first goal was all round awful. Still enjoyed it but not the great goal some of my friends seem to think it was. Second goal was much better.

Still, think most would agree that this is what he is capable of when he's at his very best. Just wish he could play at his very best all the time!

Sargent was slaughtered on this forum at the beginning of this season. Some dreadful vitriol, with one poster adamant that he wasn't even "a footballer." It got quite bad and only disintegrated when he started to hit the goal trail against Huddersfield (1) and Millwall (2) in quick succession. Now he seems to be everybody's hero. Such is football and it's fans. A few of us retained faith, but admittedly that wasn't always easy. He did have a poor start, which compounded the disappointment of last season, but he had had a long injury hit lay-off to recover from after all. Of course, as he did not start out well and was pretty poor and understandably a lot of fans (myself included I will admit) were already upset from our awful displays and as such did get upset at how poor he was when he first played for us, even more so given the money we spent on him. He'll, I had a time describing his dribbling abilities as like bambi on ice. But end of the day he is thankfuly improving, he is still young and now that that awful season and the viterol surrounding it is over it. It'ss ended time to move on. Now Josh has started improving and showing potential I Obviously hope Josh does well for us and I hope he keeps improving Edited October 15, 2022 by cambridgeshire canary
Ulfotto 798 Posted October 15, 2022 If Josh works as hard on his game in training and off the pitch as he does when he is on the pitch then he is going to improve and improve. So pleased for him he has managed to turn it round.
