Left field one this and really just a passing thought rather than a suggestion.

Freddie Ladapo is currently banging them in for Rotherham, as he has done for all his career in the lower leagues.

He was a success at Margate a few years ago, and I watched him 2-3 times then. I thought at the time that he was destined for better things, but nothing has materialised apart from a failed spell at QPR.

Late developer? He's 28 now. He sure gave the binmen a hard time recently. Think Ian Wright rather than Grant Holt.

A big, big risk or no risk at all as he would cost peanuts (with add-ons?)

A goal-getter is a goal-getter, after all, and would sure be a better bet than Jordan Hugill .... and JS .... and AI?

Can we be that skint, though?

Everyone keeps talking about strikers, but if we did sign one, would that be to play with Pukki or to replace him?

He wasn't at his best last night but Pukki is our only real goal threat right now, so dropping him for this new deadly centre forward would probably be a move sideways.

If we played the new striker with Pukki, that would mean a permanent tactical shift and would make it tough to find a spot for Rashica.

Maybe we should try to find a wide attacker with an eye for goal instead?
