canarydan23 4,762 Posted December 11, 2017 The NHS have hosted blood donation sessions at Carra Rud for a good while and I had always assumed it was another example of our "community club" doing a bit of good for the community.I was surprised to learn that not only do the club charge the NHS, it''s apparently the most expensive venue they have.I know the club is a business but I think it''s a bit of a p*sstake, especially when the board so openly espouse our community ethos and when our Chairman is a former, senior Labour politician.Could they not just let them have it for free? Or at least at cost, as I appreciate that by having the venue open and available there will be some expense incurred by the club.
Mello Yello 2,572 Posted December 11, 2017 Is it a bloody cheek - or just a vein attempt to criticise the club?......
canarydan23 4,762 Posted December 11, 2017 I''m tempted to needle the club into responding.
