Dizzy Rascal 0 Posted September 18, 2005 Hmmm. McVeigh on the left? You might aswell put Huckerby there and keep McVeigh on bench.
alex_ncfc 686 Posted September 18, 2005 Looks good to me, and he''s finally had the guts to drop Fleming...shame it couldn''t happen sooner.COME ON CITY
silver fox 0 Posted September 18, 2005 Unless Shackell is injured I cannot see why he isn''t on the bench. At least Fleming has been dropped and I just hope Doherty has a good game. Seeing Doherty, Davenport Marney, and McVeigh in the line up it is like a Spurs reserve side.
Branston Pickle 4,150 Posted September 18, 2005 Think it is generally full of sensible selections:If you want WLY then there''s not really a position for Brennan or Hucks, and imo he has done enough to warrant a start - and having Hucks in reserve is something to keep the binners worried about. It is pleasing that Flem is at last carrying the can a little for the defence, I''m in no way a Fleming knocker but it is about time we tried a formation without him in it; I''d have had Shacks in the squad but he''s not exactly been blame-proof.For me the most interesting pick is Hughes as captain - he has only had 5-6 starts for us, but I think it is a good choice - he is always talking and cajoling and seems a natural choice, though it does also show how few City starts this outfield XI has for us. LinkNR9 0 Posted September 18, 2005 I can understand the Hucks situation; we need to keep our shape in the first half or so and Hucks hasn''t played for a couple of weeks. Hopefully, he''ll come on with half an hour or so and terrorize a tiring Sc*m defence! Come on you Yellows!
