Gentleman Jim 0 Posted September 18, 2005 ...Davenport can''t play against Northampton, because his club doesn''t want him cup tied, Flem plays, has a blinder, defense keeps a clean sheet.Who gets dropped to allow Davenport back in against Reading then ? Rasputin was a C... 0 Posted September 19, 2005 Won''t happen as Fleming trying to impress will make an almighty cock-up somewhere during the match. Plus I''m not sure you can compare Northamptons attacking line with those in the Championship. I''d love to see Shacks back in the team alongside Doherty as that will most likely be what we have to play when Davenport goes back.
Chunky! 0 Posted September 19, 2005 Leave Davenport in!For a couple of reasons....1) Northampton are League 1, not Championship (I think!)2) Hopefully Davenport''s position (if he doesn''t sign) will be taken by Shackell when he''s back on form and fit. So maybe Flembo won''t play at all!I''m glad Worthy has finally bit the bullet, I can see some logic in trying to keep the defence together to develop, but he''s realised Flembo isn''t all that great any more (I hope, it could turn out to be a one-off) and we''re back on track! charlies dad 0 Posted September 19, 2005 Well Jim, a clean sheet against northanpton is a minimum requirement in my opinion. So Davs back for reading. sorry Flem.
