TCCANARY 263 Posted May 9, 2017 Just got off the ''phone to a customer in Yarm (near Middlesbrough) he was surpised when I tolf him that Boro will only receive two years payments as they came straight back down. Kick a man when he''s down!He said that a lot of fans are blaming the owner (Gibson) for their relegation and they want him to sell to foreign investors (sounds familiar). Also they have heard a very strong rumour that they are trying to persuade Ryan Giggs to become the new manager, there''s a Man U connection with one of Gibsons advisors being Peter Kenyon. Diane 500 Posted May 9, 2017 Yes but '''' That means if Boro get relegated in May they are entitled to a payments of £47m and then £38m'''' so 85m isnt bad is it, though they are looking at cutting them from August according to this articlehttp://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/premier-league-relegation-parachute-payments-12802639

Coq au vin 0 Posted May 9, 2017 People moan about RVW, but at least he scored for Norwich unlike Bamford. Bang average player.

The big clubs absolutely disgust me, they have the cheek to say the money is being taken out of the game, then in the case of Man U they give one agent 40m. If they really cared about the state of the game in this country they would reduce the parachute payments but made sure they gap between the divisions (thats all the divisions) wasnt so incredibly huge. This isnt about some heart felt notion of financial piety, this is about ensuring the elite stay on top.
SwindonCanary 457 Posted May 11, 2017 The Premiership was created so that they took a bigger share of the money and it''s worked better than anyone could imagine
Guest Posted May 11, 2017 To create a European league by default.Make sure you qualify for the Champions League and you are in your Euro league.Unfortunately for the ones who envisaged a dynasty, wealthy owners put Chelsea and Manchester City into the mix and now it is six after four places. And the cheek of Leicester! It is all that Corbyn fellows fault!
