BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted June 19, 2016 taken on board and on the payroll during the last two seasons. Some expense has been involved and some wages have been involved .. although partially paid by their original club when lent back.I am thinking:Connor McGrandlesLouis ThompsonBen GodfreyEbou Adams James Maddisonand now we have Aaron Tshibola @ a reported £2m.These youngsters join the Club without exception with a fabulous write up and with promised exciting potential. How soon will this quite expensive policy produce players capable of threatening the first team? Will it be this coming season? Is it money well spent or misspent? There has been quite some excitement built around this bunch. Will we ever see any of them in the yellow as first choice on the team sheet? As a Premier League club their involvement was obviously distant. Now we are in the Chumps who has a chance of making that important breakthrough? This has been a well defined policy by the Club since the days of Neil Adams. Will it reap rewards? GJP 79 Posted June 19, 2016 Surely most of these signings are seen as a way to make a little money from loan fees and such.If they happen to get to the first team then it''s a very nice bonus.
BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted June 19, 2016 May be, but when we purchase them a big incentive has to be an increase in wages. When they are lent back we would surely then have to make up the difference between their contractual salary with us and what they were getting before our involvement.I think that the main aim of these signings is for future first team recognition, but nothing has happened as yet.Perhaps they are too young and expectations of them are premature, but they are all older than Marcus Rashford and he plays for England, not a Championship side.
