lake district canary 4,823 Posted January 17, 2016 .....affected by poor discipline. One was the avoidable bad tackle, lunge, or whatever you want to call it by O''Neil that spoiled the game for us against Stoke and yesterday it was the pull back by Odidja - yes the Bn''mouth player might have scored anyway......but he might not have. These kinds of things happen from time to time in any team, but two away games have been turned on poor choices by players. We talk about mistakes by players - they all make them, but in both cases this week, we were in the game and both proved costly. To stay in this league we have to have every player totally in the right frame of mind. O''Neil and Odidja were both guilty of of drastically poor decisions at vital times this week. We can''t afford any more this season!

lake district canary 4,823 Posted January 17, 2016
I can''t see how yesterday''s game turned on the pen.
1-0 down is a retrievable situation. 2-0 is slighty different. Pulling the player back so blatantly was as good as giving them a goal anyway - and who knows, Rudd might have saved the forward''s shot.
Indy 3,471 Posted January 17, 2016 No O''Neil was stupid cost us a good chance, Saturday everyone was poor and cost us any chance.........Two matches was the same for every team, some more than others. We were turned over by a better team on the day, simple as. Katie Borkins 1 Posted January 17, 2016 The game against Bournemouth was not affected by poor discipline, just a poor team performance. That''s what lost it for us. I can''t think of a single 50/50 that our team won, and can barely recall a shot on target worthy of the name.
ron obvious 1,711 Posted January 17, 2016 Rudd had a nearly fatal rush of blood to the head. And Martin just stopped himself from rugby tackling one of their players, so the discipline wasn''t great - it''s the sort of things born of anxiety rather than malice, & probably due to collective tiredness. If Mbokani''s lob had been successful that would have given us a bit of a boost. And there was a close up of Johnny Pigeon-Botherer working his nuts off to win three successive tackles, so it wasn''t (quite) all bad.
